How much do people care?

Threats of looming (but averted) shutdowns are so commonplace, I find it hard to take them seriously.

Our command didnt even send out a what to do in the event of a shutdown email until noonish on Thursday. Most people know the critical workers work and the others sit home and still collect a paycheck, it just might be late. 

It doesn't move the needle much for DoD types.
