I haven't been following the music industry that closely. Yes, that Jon Baptiste from the Late Show won best Album. And Bruno Mars is in a new group, and won song of the year. Both are very talented, throwbacks to gospel and R&B. A lot of good music was created during the pandemic.

Driver's License is good. The bridge is actually brilliant, imo. And I HATE...well, pretty much everything.
ETA: It drives me nuts that she sang "shuburbs".

Trevor Noah with BTS made me want to blanch. Just can barely watch this thing.
I guess Zelensky and his introduction was pretty cool. I normally would argue that we should keep political stuff out of the televised awards ceremonies, but this seems a little different than the ordinary politicking.

that was the performance I mentioned. I watched the official video for the song and it seems like they essentially recreated the video for the live performance.

for having no idea who that was or never hearing that song. I didn't really listen to the lyrics- and I assume with the title "freedom", there was some depth to it more than just "when I do this- [jazz hands]... it's freedom!". either way- fun song, and really fun performance of it. tbh- it reminded me in lots of (good) ways of "Happy". @Joe Bryant
When viewing the FFA on mobile, is there a way to tell a link is a YouTube video instead of a regular old website article link? You can’t really hover over with a mouse like on desktop.
With all due respect to Mr. Floppo, it’s a little annoying when a YouTube video pops up that was unexpected. It’s like a rickroll.

I don't think there's a way to distinguish links. Sorry.
If you long press on the link it should pop up a box showing where it's going and it'll have a bunch of options for you.@Joe Bryant

It is a bit, but Renaissance was a really good album. Deserving winner tonight.

Her status as a legend is without question, but I remember reading in numerous spots how many considered Renaissance a disappointment, yet it was the best electronic/dance album of the year? I am guessing they weren't going to not give her the record this year, especially with her appearing and about to embark on a big stadium tour, so there you have it.
Upper level tickets at Hard Rock, in August, are $879 each. She has a lot of fans who are willing to spend.

It was far and away the favorite album on end of year lists on Metacritic. I don’t think many called it a disappointment — I’m not a huge Beyoncé fan, but I think it was her strongest top to bottom album to date.
