I thought the same thing when I saw the movie.  Quote sites I found said "bud.."  I think Bob would be better too.

Just saw Moneyball (I had read the book). Great baseball movie primarily because it is true. The fact that Oakland rallies from down 11 runs to win their 20th game in a row, and the guy who hits the game winning homerun is the walking definition of a moneyball player, it is just amazing that it actually happened that way and was not a hollywood script. I even looked it up in the online baseball database to check the facts relating to the 20th game and they were all true.
