The running into the kicker rule sucks.
It's an easy call there, especially when a guy is up in the air in the middle of a punt.
The rule is dumb though. Guys can't stop their momentum on a dime.
You don't have to stop. Just NOT hit the K. All you have to do is run by him. The K is one who can't stop his motion or alter it. The golden rule is to NEVER leave your feet unless you are sure you will block it. It's a safety issue and the rule is needed.

It isn't a new rule though, and most of the time guys have no trouble avoiding a flag.
They were going for the block. Which was a silly risk to take.
It was a dumb play by one guy. You take the proper angle to the P so that you avoid him and never leave your feet unless you're sure.

I'm really glad they can squeeze in the kickoff amidst all the commercials. Rog wants to enhance the game for the fans? Cut down the ### #### commercials and keep me interested.

I simply meant that by sending in everyone to block they only increased the chances of that happening. Seemed like sort of a desperate thing to do considering how early it is, where they were on the field and that a penalty like that gives them a first down.

What in the hell is Thomas doing returning punts and Sherman out there blocking? I'd rather not have my best two DBs out on punts.
