Gregg Jennings (1 Viewer)

Though it seemed like he had a an OK game with 3 catches for 79 yards.

They targeted him deep 3 times and it looked like he could have gotten all three of them.

One was a bad throw, one he dropped and the other was a PAss Interference late in 4th that wasnt called.

The key thing i am bringing up is that he broke loose 3 times BESIDES his 79 yards.

Could have easily been a 175 yard day for Jennings.

he is still in my top 5 in WR Dynasty's

Definitely no need to worry about him. His bad days, aren't even too bad. He could have had a couple of monster touchdowns if it wasn't for Rodgers over throwing him on one, and then the pass interference on the other.

Not to mention he was covered by Finnegan all game - one of the better corners in the entire league.
He was doubled a lot too. James Jones was supposed to be back this week but was inactive. When he is with Jordy Nelson and Driver it'll be hard to double anyone.

I don't disagree he's an awesome prospect for the future.you're exaggerating some though. His 50+ yard catch was a result of one of the weakest tackle attempts Finnegan has ever made and maybe will ever make. Just horrible. Jennings had 1 catch after that so Finnegan clearly redeemed himself. That could be a concern. The Packers went after Nick Harper, normally a very good CB. One could argue Jennings was a good decoy but, as much as I wanna knock Finnegan down for that tackle, one catch before and one after is pretty great. The 3 where he "got loose" makes it seems like he was "miles" ahead of Finnegan. It's just an exaggeration. He is a fantastic CB and Jennings is a top WR. It was a battle. Finnegan's closing speed, Jenning's ability to go up and get it....it was a battle. Even the announcers were pointing out the battle over and over. Finnegan had 3(I believe) INTs go thru his hands. Jennings not batting it down or fighting for the ball could be a small fault of his there. We're talking about some minute details in an awesome matchup. You are soooo sugarcoating Jenning's game yesterday. There is no doubt Driver was the best GB Packer WR yesterday. It isn't even debatable since we have results and it's not conjecture. Will Jennings be better most weeks and in the future, quite likely but, that doesn't mean you exaggerate yesterday.

He wasn't really doubled. Hope reacted to the ball being thrown. He wasn't stride for stride. That's just normal safety play. It's hard to double anyone in a 4 WR set and the Pack don't use 4 WRs too too often unless the run game struggles so I doubt you see all 4, at the same time, all that much.

Did you not see two 40+ yard bombs come as close as can be to being caught? The one late was a Pass Inter that they didnt call for some odd reason

It looked to me like the result of a pretty good move and stiffarm by Jennings.

Even if he ends up with only eight TDs, which is what he is on pace for, a WR who catches 80 balls and gains over 1,500 yards, which he is also on pace for, is definitely a stud. I am happy to have him on two teams.

what do Andre Johnson, Reggie Wayne and Bernard Berrian have in common?

They all got held in check good by a top notch Tenn defense...

AJ and Wayne moreso than Jennings and Berrian...

Jennings will be fine....enjoy his #s if you were lucky to get him in the 4th+ rounds of yer draft..

He curled and then ran diagonally. Hardly a move there. Jordy's spin move...that was a move to me. Jennings didn't seem like anything fancy like shaking his hips or anything.Jennings slowed down, from a run to a light jog to stiffarm. If that failed, you so gotta know he'd have heard about it after the game. No way do you slow down to stiff arm. Finnegan tried to smack his hand away and they kept running.

Finnegan would be wrapping up any other time, lower than the stiff arm. Is he high fiving him? playing patti-cake? Cmon now. If he drove his shoulder in, the play was over.

It's 34 seconds in here

Further, he was a couple yards behind him as the ball is coming into Greg's hands. He played it like he was giving Greg a cushion, not allowing the deep ball. Greg curled back and...where was the close by Cortland? He never did, he was still a few yards behind him. Greg took exactly what was given to him so where's the reaction? If you watch the replay, Griffin(who started out behind Finnegan) closes in on Jennings and catches up to Finnegan who is still in the same spot- Finnegan is stuck in mud watching for a second.

Absolutely a good play by Jennings. I just felt it was a worse play by Finnegan.

Was there really a burning need for this thread? Sounds like you're trying to calm yourself down. Was this therapeutic for you?Jennings is still good? Seriously? Thanks, I guess.

Because they were letting them play. You said he broke loose 3 times. As if he owned Cortland on all those. Now you're saying Cortland hit him early.Which is it?Jennings has tons of good games to pick from why on earth you choose yesterday as your affirmation of his immense talent is beyond me.

Bri...while that might have been a bad attempt by Finnegan...Jennings and Driver have been making people miss like that for some time.

To be honest...they should have called both the one against Finnegan and the earlier one against Chillar in the endzone on scaife.

Sure have and I haven't been shy about the compliments for them in this thread either. I just think to call the Tennessee game some affirmation of Jennings' immense talent is silly. In fact, Driver wasn't even mentiioned til I brought it up. We discuss the greatness of the 79 yard guy not the 175 yard guy? Cmon Pick another game for Jennings is all
