Gronkowski & Hernandez - TEs, NE - Questionable (1 Viewer)

Profootballtalk.com reports that Rob Gronkowski (forearm, questionable) "could" play on Sunday night versus the 49ers.

Gronkowski practiced on Friday, but he was all but ruled out for Week 15 despite the surprising return to the field. However, Profootballtalk still says it would be an "unexpected" appearance. The chances of Gronk suiting up are slim-to-none, and we wouldn't recommend banking on him to play. A return for Week 16 seems more likely, but even that isn't a guarantee. Dec 16 - 8:47 AM

How in the h-e-double hockeysticks is Gronk QUESTIONABLE...should he not be DOUBTFUL

No such thing as queationable anymore. He participated in practice on a limited basis.
Actually they do keep the Probable, Questionable, Doubtful, and Out designations for the Friday injury report. The Wednesday injury report is limited to the practice status.

NFL.com's Albert Breer "(continues) to be told" Rob Gronkowski (forearm, questionable) won't return for Sunday Night Football against the 49ers.

That's the general consensus, though nothing can be assumed with the Patriots until inactives are released. That will happen no later than 7ET Sunday evening.

Per Jeff Howe, Pats beat writer:Pats inactives: Gronkowski, Zusevics, Martin, Brace, Bequette, White.
Rob Gronkowski (forearm) is inactive for Week 15 against the 49ers.As expected. The rest of New England's "questionable" gang — Aaron Hernandez, Wes Welker and Brandon Lloyd — are all active. Gronk's Friday return to practice suggests he might suit up for Week 16, but Week 17 remains his most likely return date.Dec 16 - 6:53 PMhttp://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/5729/rob-gronkowski
