Via The Big Lead, Deuce Gruden appeared on the Sporting Rave podcast, and Deuce said that the family could be heading for San Fran or Cleveland.

“He was going to let me finish high school,” Deuce Gruden said. “They were talking about going to San Francisco, but that’ll probably be in the next two years . . . or maybe Cleveland.”

Didn't his other son play in the arena league? Or was that shanny's?
You may be thinking of his brother Jay, who coached in the Arena League?Cleve and SF have made by far the most sense of all the rumors....he doesn't fit in college very well, and he has a history in SF and with Holmgren.

Maybe. One of them both played and coached. I wouldn't hire Gruden if I were an owner. For me, he flat out rocks with old talent and he's awful with young talent. I kept seeing Fassel's name every now and again in UFL updates. I don't know why that guy is out of work in the NFL? He was a decent coach in NY that pulled a rabbit out of his hat one year. His team exceeded expectations. I'd rather him than Gruden. I really don't see anything Gruden does well except pretty up a team made up of Dungy's boys and add a few years to vets careers. Maybe the Titans can sign him and Kerry can play another ten years.

Brother Jay played and coached, and is now coaching in the UFL. Gruden's oldest son is high-schooler Deuce (Jon Jr). He's still only 47.

Lock out and then SF. This kid might be speaking the truth.

That kid must be really dumb!

OMG, SF please. What do I need to do to make this happen? Do his dry cleaning for a year? SF brass, pleasepleasepleasepleaseplease make Gruden the next HC.

It has been a VERY long time since we had a good coach.

I think this is total and utter bs but I have a friend that is dialed in with the Panthers organization and he said that Gruden is a stone cold lock to come to Carolina next year. The deal is in place and was solidfied last week during the UM talk. I dont believe it but he has been pretty money so far.

I could definetly see Gruden to Denver. He loves Tebow and that team is ready to roll on offense.

He could bring in Kiffin to improve the D quickly.

If I was Arizona I would be on the phone trying to get Orton

You think Monte would leave his son in California? I doubt it.
