Gurley and the Fantasy Playoffs (1 Viewer)

What are you going to do trade him ?  You would be insane to.  You first need to get to the championship game before even worrying about it.  Root for Green Bay tomorrow and root for New Orleans to beat Minnesota and then beat the Rams and everything should be fine.

If the Rams win their next 2 then you need to pivot and start rooting for them to win every game and be in position for a perfect season.

Maybe the Rams won't rest too soon if in same position as last year as they then lost in their 1st playoff game maybe because they were rusty.

Long-time reader, first (or almost) first time poster.

As we near the season where (especially in dynasty) teams are looking to trade their way into a position for a fantasy playoff run, I was wondering what folks' thoughts were about the prospect that McVay might sit Gurley (or for that matter other elite Rams) for the playoffs.

This ESPN piece lays out a thoughtful case for why there is cause for concern:

I haven't seen much discussion of this risk yet. Does anyone who follows the Rams closely believe these concerns are overblown?
Todd Gurley is better than any defense in the NFL. Plus the Rams have a very competent offense outside of Gurley.

So it’s not like you can focus on shutting down Gurley and get away with it because then Goff is going to beat the hell out of you with all of the other talent on that team.

This sounds like one of those click bait articles to have a hot take  for the sake of having a hot take when in fact the take is lukewarm at best. Don’t overthink anything. Start your studs. Todd Gurley is the ultimate stud of studs. He is matchup proof.

The only reason I would ever not start  Todd Gurley is if Todd Gurley is not starting.  He is on a level we have rarely seen anyone play in the NFL.

Not an ideal fantasy matchup for the playoffs. But Todd girly can overcome any matchup.
