Perfect. My favorite thing to do with those guys is after they've taken a few pot shots at people and a few people have recognized them doing so, I maneuver so that they're between me and the pit. When a mellower part of a song leading up to a ferocious part is being played, I get into position right behind them and as soon as the mosh riff comes in, I shove them right into the middle of the pit as hard as I can. Usually, they'll sprint across to the other side as quickly as they can, but every now and again, someone gets a really good lick on them. I'd like to think I've helped "reform" dozens of what you call snipers.WUSSIES. Change the W to a P.Okay- I have college aged boys. One is a musician, so I have been out there at band fests and seen some of this. I've found myself ending up serving as a human bumper, protecting these human projectiles from things like walls, stools and bar/table corners.![]()
I've seen what look like forming mini-walls of death: guys will start pawing the floor like bulls before a charge. They scope out and make eye contact with another guy... and then charge each other seemingly hell bent on knocking the other guy to kingdom come. Should one of them hit the floor, the other guy invariably offers a hand and pulls him up. What up that?
Also- I have seen what I call snipers. The lame ###es float around the perimeter of the craziness and instead of taking anyone on directly they hit people as they go by and then bounce of in another direction to avoid retribution. I've almost taken a swipe at these guys myself.![]()
Is there an insiders name for these losers??I don't know what I was expecting...
Ohhhh so close. I'm sorry but the correct answer was "an Insane Clown Posse show".You'd take out a really good % of our future scientists and computer experts. You're better off bombing a Garth Brooks show. Or a Joel Osteen appearance.Good place for a controlled airstrike.
I saw them open for Slayer, and the crowd was not very nice.I love how Sick of it All still kicks ###!Pretty sure the last time I saw them was in '96 or '97 too.
Thats the problem. They should not be opening for Slayer. They should be the headliners of places like The Troc (Jaysus >Hey) and smaller clubs. Its not like they are going to find mainstream success at this point so dont forget the struggle, dont forget the streets and dont sell out and dont forget your rootsI saw them open for Slayer, and the crowd was not very nice.I love how Sick of it All still kicks ###!Pretty sure the last time I saw them was in '96 or '97 too.

Your monitor can't hit back. That's not very sporting.I just picked up my monitor and tackled it to the ground in an aggressive fashion.
I would have to on some pretty powerful drugs for me to enjoy that. You won't get much in the way of melody and harmony, but there's a power inherent in this kind of music that exists in no other. There's no way to describe the feeling of release at a show like this if you're into that kind of music - it's like a drug.
what the sam hell is the point of thatseriously, i want to be in a metal band where my shtick is my fans have to punch themselves in the balls till they pass outBALLS OF DEATH!!!and the whole crowd just starts whaling on their own ####

You should.'Charlie Frown said:Anyone see the recent video where the lead singer of LoG gets KTFO? It was hilarious. I know nothing about the band
From the video I saw, it looks like both Randy and a security guard tossed the guy offstage by pushing him in the back. It sucks that guy busted his head and died, and was an idiot jumping on stage (supposedly 3-4 times), but it seems like he's got some responsibility in it.#FreeRandyBlythe
I tried using this argument with security, yet they confiscated my battle axe anyway. So this 'wall of death' thing is sort of like a cross between the Hokey Pokey and the '85 Bears defense?![]()

Lamb Of God tour canceled as singer remains in Czech jail
With Lamb Of God frontman Randy Blythe still in a Prague jail and facing manslaughter charges, the band's upcoming tour with cartoon metal band Dethklok and non-cartoon metal band Gojira has been cancelled. The tour was scheduled to kick off Aug. 1 in Seattle. A statement released by the band says, "The uncertainty of Randy's release makes it impossible to carry on with the tour. Upon Randy's release, it is the band's intention to rebook a tour in the fall." Point-of-purchase refunds are being offered to anyone who bought tickets to the dates.
Blythe has been in jail for about a month now, after he was arrested while on tour in Europe. The charges stem from an incident at a 2010 concert where he pushed a fan off the stage, causing him to fall on his head and later die. While Blythe's bail has been set at $400,000, the prosecution is challenging the ruling, meaning he has to stay behind bars for a little longer. Meanwhile, Lamb Of God is soliciting donations for his defense.
This is horse poop. They set bail, he paid, stayed in jail. They doubled it, he paid, still in jail. Sounds like a money grab to me.![]()

I doubt he ever goes back. Quite frankly giving him bail was stupid if they really wanted to try him on this.If I'm him, I'm never going back there again.B-Deep, just FYI, that video you posted earlier is the same fan, but he was back up on stage later in that same show and it was the security guard that shoved him back the second time, Blythe never touched him on the push that ultimately resulted in the kid's death. Either way, these charges are nuts.
Let's hope so. I really want to see that LoG / Gojira tour, and I was about to buy tickets for the San Francisco show when Blythe got arrested.About time. Hope they re-schedule the fall tour.

That was beyond awesome.Read Randy's statement yesterday, said he will return to the Czech Republic to stand trial if summoned to do so.

"I would like state that I suffered no abuse, from either authorities or inmates, during my incarceration in Pankrác. I received no special treatment, and was in general population with everyone else -- make no mistake, it was prison, not some celebrity rehab TV show. But I was treated fairly by the guards and kindly by my fellow inmates. People are dying of starvation all over the world. Men and women are losing their lives daily in the Middle East and other war torn regions. I had food, clothes, shelter, and no one was trying to kill me. I cannot complain over a short stay in prison while many people elsewhere fight to survive on a daily basis."
"While I maintain my innocence 100%, and will do so steadfastly, I will NOT hide in the United States, safe from extradition and possible prosecution. As I write this, the family of a fan of my band suffers through the indescribably tragic loss of their child. They have to deal with constantly varying media reports about the circumstances surrounding his death."
"I am charged with maliciously causing severe bodily harm to this young man, resulting in his death. While I consider the charge leveled against me ludicrous and without qualification, my opinion makes no difference in this matter. The charge exists, and for the family of this young man, questions remain. The worst possible pain remains. It is fairly common knowledge amongst fans of my band that I once lost a child as well. I, unfortunately, am intimately familiar with what their pain is like. Therefore, I know all too well that in their time of grief, this family needs and deserves some real answers, not a media explosion followed by the accused killer of their son hiding like a coward thousands of miles away while they suffer."
Wow. No fan of that type of music but I have some serious respect for writing that statement. Most would have whined about treatment, rights infringement, etc. but he really took the high road. Awesome.Read Randy's statement yesterday, said he will return to the Czech Republic to stand trial if summoned to do so.

Met and chatted with Randy two days ago. Really, really great guy. I've met a lot of famous people and Blythe was maybe the most gracious and genuine. I broke off the conversation at one point and gave him an out so as not to be a pest and he re-engaged. Was genuinely interested in hearing what I had to say rather than just humoring me to be nice.Just figured I'd post it here since I wanted an excuse to read this thread again. So much funny stuff in here.Wow. No fan of that type of music but I have some serious respect for writing that statement.
