Halfway through the season what was your best and worst call? (1 Viewer)

My main thoughts entering the season:

1. Rank Addai over Gore, LJ, Parker and Alexander (can't believe I had Shawn that close)

2. Get Peterson on all of my rosters (3 for 3)

3. Expected Patriots and their fans to exhibit classy behavior.

Well, you can't win them all...

Other good moves:

1. Patience with Kevin Jones and Brandon Jacobs.

2. Drafting New England defense

Poor decisions:

1. Travis Henry over Marion Barber III

2. Santana Moss over Santonio Holmes

3. Shockey over Witten in two drafts.

Best decision was picking uo Kevin Jones late on all of my teams. (a homer pick) but it is paying off.

Taking a chance on Randy Moss on two teams.

Worst calls- Drew Brees on two teams..although Brees seems to be coming around.

Ahman Green, I did not draft him too early but thought he would be a very solid #2 RB this year.

Worst:

1A - ranking Brady as QB6 in my drafts behind Manning, Palmer, Brees, Bulger & McNabb.

1B - drafting Benson @ 2.4 and not being able to trade him for a pile of nails.

Best:

1A - Drafting Moss, TO & Edwards as my WR's.

1B - Trading RBrown the week he blew his ACL.

Worst: (1) Dropping Kevin Curtis and dropping Santonio Holmes after unproductive first weeks to pick up Patrick Crayton who I later dropped; (2) Trading Tony Romo and Antonio Gates and Reggie Wayne and Welker to get SJax and Heap and Colston and Bulger.

Best: (1) Snagging Derek Anderson

Of note: Traded Ronnie Brown / Javon Walker for Larry Johnson /Torry Holt / Lee Evans

Best: AP in the 2nd of a 10 team, 4 keeper league. So, essentially a six rounder. Romo in the 6th of the same draft.

Worst: Gore (so far), Walker (due to injury). Both first round picks this year. :hot:  :penalty:

Oh, so many good calls, hard to pick just one.

Worst: Boston, bought the hype, used my last draft pick on him.

Best: having Addai, avoiding MJD, avoiding Brandon Jackson

Worst - Randy Moss would suck in NE.

Best - Bray Bray would shed his stone hands and be a stud.

Worst call: 3.12 and wanting a 3rd RB, I was up in the air between AD and Thomas Jones, Thomas Jones or AD. I went with Thomas Jones :sadbananna:

Best Call: I was laughed at when I said Romo will continue his pro bowl performance.

Redraft good:

Addai at 1.04

Gates at 3.04

Favre as QB1 at 9.04

Jennings at 13.04

Redraft bad:

Rounds 4-6: A Green, R Brown, Mark Clayton as flex/WR1/WR2 :fishing:

Mare as my sleeper PK.

Dynasty good:

Derek Anderson off waivers

Dynasty bad:

Failing to grab any of the "take a flyer" RB's we've seen show up.

Best: Wes Welker Got him as a WR3 or 4 in all 4 leagues :lmao:

Worst: Everyone in the NFCW, which I thought would be a very competitive conference

Detroit homer calls...

Best - That Shaun McDonald would be more of a weapon than Furrey this season

Worst - That Tatum Bell would be a top RB in PPR formats until Jones returned

Other FF calls...

Best - "Reaching" for Romo ahead of Bulger and McNabb. Also passing on the great TE run of the mid rounds and taking Witten late.

Worst - Completely passing up a perfectly good opportunity to draft both Brady and Moss in nearly every league. One in particular, chose to go with Driver and Evans ahead of both Moss and Braylon. Ouch.

My best calls were this week. I benched Chad Johnson for Santonio Holmes and Holmes had 3 more points. On the same week, I picked up Phil Dawson at kicker due to a bye week, while my opponent picked up Kris Brown from the Texans. These two things were the difference between a fantasy victory and a loss.

My worst call was earlier in the year when I stuck with Olindo Mare and lost by 2 points...a different kicker would have won me a divisional game.
