Ham was right (1 Viewer)

I thought the bump might have been about that new poker game. I can’t even remember the ham name. Topeka hold’em or something like that.

I think it was "California Hold'em"?

I also liked Ham. Great guy, He sent hams to strangers he met on the internet - really what more do you need to know about a guy? Bit of a kook on the chemtrails and such, but in a likeable way.

I thought @Nipsey was the one sending hams.

Aren't we reasonably back to normal? I was in a hospital and they weren't even stringent about masks. This was in a cardiovascular unit with elderly people, too. I'm not looking to debate anything, it's just that it seems like we're as back to normal as you can get.

I don't know about completely normal. I had a dentist appointment last week and they still make you wear them in the office. Which is weird since you have to take it off about 3 minutes into the visit.
That's so 2022

Ham's here but posts as an alias, I think. Got all his stuff taken down by the staff because he was on to important things that his writings here might have sabotaged. But it's either a guy with the same backstory that says "my friend Ham" fairly often, or maybe it's just his friend. Either way, I personally think he lurks and will see this.
I used to talk to Mr. Ham on occasion (maybe last time a year ago), and my impression is that he decided to give this place a clean break—stemming from one particular issue that was holding him back from living his best life. And he has had the strength to stick by that.

He always struck me as a good guy at the end of the day. And if he sees this, I wish him well.

I wish him well also. Frankly, I thought you were him. Oh well. There’s no need to suss it out, really. Good luck to both of you in living your best life. I’m doing something similar, only I get sidetracked every so often (I still don’t drink).

Am I remembering correctly he had a child die of cancer or something right during the COVID stuff?

Yes, his son died suddenly. I think it was some flu-like thing, not cancer and it happened quickly. Really tragic.

Wish ya well, Ham.

This is correct. He and I met some time afterward. He is a really good guy.

Big fan of Ham

California Hold'em™

Tired of bad beats?

California Hold'em (patent pending) is an exciting new version of poker that is more fair than Texas Hold'em, while maintaining the exact same rules and all of the thrills!

If you know how to play Texas Hold'em, there is no learning curve. Slight modifications to the playing card deck provide players with insulation from lucky draws against them - making strategic play and proper reads more important.

Try it. We think you'll agree: It's a better game!

Nah, I’m not nearly as prolific as Ham was.

He was one of those guys who was truly broken from 2016-2020, his posts in the locked forum were so emotional that he had to get Joe to wipe his account because he was afraid of them being made public when he ran for local office or something. Probably a smart move.

It is strange to see his posts from pre-2016, he was a completely different person. Hopefully he has found a way to channel his anger given the choice that America made last week.

Pretty sure they took an Alaskan cruise and his son caught something bad, died suddenly. I think it was a while back. 2010ish?

I like a good salty country ham the best, with eggs, and a biscuit with sausage gravy on top and a cinnamon roll. Serve that with a glass of tomato juice and coffee and I'm set.

Edit to add:......and a defibrillator.

I don't have a notebook but tend to remember his passing very close to start of the full blown pandemic. There were jokes about the silver and cykotine and then it came out how he lost a kid to a virus and that was basically last we heard of him.

His son and mine were the same age and it scared the #### out of me. Not important. Can think of nothing worse than a parent having to put their child in the ground.

Ham is gross. Sitting and eating a big hunk of ham is disgusting. A ham sammich? cool. some thin slices of prosciutto or Iberico ham as part of a charcuterie board? yes, please.

But serving ham slices and steaks? Man, keep that mess. Give me some lamb or prime rib, some Spring pea agnolotti, some grilled asparagus, and devilled eggs:, the way Jesus would want us to celebrate Easter.
what is life like in communist russia take that to the bank bromigo
