I'm always going ham.
I still have a deck.I thought the bump might have been about that new poker game. I can’t even remember the ham name. Topeka hold’em or something like that.

I think it was "California Hold'em"?
I also liked Ham. Great guy, He sent hams to strangers he met on the internet - really what more do you need to know about a guy? Bit of a kook on the chemtrails and such, but in a likeable way.
Wasn’t that @cosjobs ?I still have a deck.I thought the bump might have been about that new poker game. I can’t even remember the ham name. Topeka hold’em or something like that.
That's so 2022Aren't we reasonably back to normal? I was in a hospital and they weren't even stringent about masks. This was in a cardiovascular unit with elderly people, too. I'm not looking to debate anything, it's just that it seems like we're as back to normal as you can get.
I don't know about completely normal. I had a dentist appointment last week and they still make you wear them in the office. Which is weird since you have to take it off about 3 minutes into the visit.
I used to talk to Mr. Ham on occasion (maybe last time a year ago), and my impression is that he decided to give this place a clean break—stemming from one particular issue that was holding him back from living his best life. And he has had the strength to stick by that.Ham's here but posts as an alias, I think. Got all his stuff taken down by the staff because he was on to important things that his writings here might have sabotaged. But it's either a guy with the same backstory that says "my friend Ham" fairly often, or maybe it's just his friend. Either way, I personally think he lurks and will see this.

He always struck me as a good guy at the end of the day. And if he sees this, I wish him well.

Yes, his son died suddenly. I think it was some flu-like thing, not cancer and it happened quickly. Am I remembering correctly he had a child die of cancer or something right during the COVID stuff?

This is correct. He and I met some time afterward. He is a really good guy.
Ham off the bone / Ham steak FTW

I wish him well also. Frankly, I thought you were him. Oh well. There’s no need to suss it out, really. Good luck to both of you in living your best life. I’m doing something similar, only I get sidetracked every so often (I still don’t drink).
Pretty sure they took an Alaskan cruise and his son caught something bad, died suddenly. I think it was a while back. 2010ish?Yes, his son died suddenly. I don't have a notebook but tend to remember his passing very close to start of the full blown pandemic. There were jokes about the silver and cykotine and then it came out how he lost a kid to a virus and that was basically last we heard of him.Pretty sure they took an Alaskan cruise and his son caught something bad, died suddenly. His son and mine were the same age and it scared the #### out of me. Not important. Can think of nothing worse than a parent having to put their child in the ground.I don't have a notebook but tend to remember his passing very close to start of the full blown pandemic. what is life like in communist russia take that to the bank bromigoHam is gross. Sitting and eating a big hunk of ham is disgusting. A ham sammich? cool. some thin slices of prosciutto or Iberico ham as part of a charcuterie board? yes, please.
But serving ham slices and steaks? Man, keep that mess. Give me some lamb or prime rib, some Spring pea agnolotti, some grilled asparagus, and devilled eggs:, the way Jesus would want us to celebrate Easter.
