handcuffs besides RBs (1 Viewer)

Have you handcuffed any player that's not a RB? If so, who? why?
In survivor leagues, I tend to handcuff WRs from bad teams.Have done duos of McCardell/Parker (2005) and Bryant/Northcutt (2004).This year may try Williamson/Taylor or Bryant/Battle.Reason: the key to survivor leagues is to be 2nd from last every week. Do that and you are the champion. Everyone snags players from the good NFL teams earlier. The last few rounds are random longshots, rookies, etc. I figure I'd rather corner the market on one team over praying that a guy like Greg Jennings or Chad Jackson get some face time. In one survivor league, the kick/punt returner TDs count, so getting a guy like Northcutt was helpful for his random big games.

(Assuming rosters are large enough to make these strategies viable)

QB: I recommend handcuffing Gus Frerotte to Marc Bulger and Matt Leinart to Kurt Warner at QB because the passing attacks are potent, the starters are prone to injury, and the backups will go high in the waiver wire priority/bidding if (when) the starter gets dinged.

WR: I recommend protecting WRs with questions coming into the season by getting the #2/backup on their team when they are cheap:

Reche Caldwell to Deion Branch (holdout)

Drew Carter to Steve Smith (hammy)

Cedrick Wilson to Hines Ward (hammy)

Bobby Engram to Darrell Jackson (knee)

There are also some situations where you can be assured of getting a decent #2 WR for two picks in the 8th or later:

Ernest Wilford/Reggie Williams

Bobby Engram/Nate Burleson

Jerry Porter/Doug Gabriel

Joe Jurevicius/Braylon Edwards (actually could get a #1 out of this)
