Has the Carolina Defense finally turned the corner? (1 Viewer)

Any one watch the game and tell me how the Panther defense did so well today? Did they get some injured players back, or are the Rams that bad without Pace?

The Rams had more dropped passes than I could count which killed numerous drives. The Cats actually blitzed today, but their dumdass defensive coordinator will go be to being conservative in no time. I didn't see Lucas play today and Wallace was hurt, but I don't know to what extent.

I was surprised by all the dropped passes, especially Holt dropping some. The Panthers D did a great job putting pressure on Bulger. It wasn't just because Pace was out either, they were getting Bulger from both directions.

i didn't even see the game, but i find it very hard to a believe that shutting out st louis would be a fluke game. my guess is they're finally comin around ..

Anyone making a fantasy decision based on this is sorely mistaken. That was the least dominating 7 sack shut out I've ever seen. Holt/Bruce and co. were dropping passes as if they played for Atlanta or Seattle in a playoff game. I seen far too much of the coaching staff to expect anything different then the past cycles. It will be back to rush 4 and drop the slow linebackers back into tacklage just past the marker. We're looking at a mid tier defense with occasional upside.

I got the Panthers at 10-1

to win the SB.

Good value imo, and a nice hedge

if they make it to the big game.

The NFC is wide open these days.

Going into the St. Louis game, I was afraid to go after the Carolina D mainly because of their rough schedule. Suddenly it doesn't look so bad. They play at Wash, at Philly, home against NYG, home against Pitts, at Atlanta, at New Orleans. With the loss of McNabb, I think Carolina will have strong performances the next 2 weeks. The Giants may be a tough matchup but at least Carolina is at home. Pitts has a strong offense but they turn the ball over a ton. Atl doesn't turn the ball over much but they have been struggling lately. New Orleans is the same as Pitts.

I watched parts of this game while playing my new real-time play-prediction game on my cell phone. St Louis looked sloppy as hell and couldn't pick up the blitz. Peppers was nowhere in this game. The Rams lost this game more than the Panthers won it.

I took Carolina DT in my 8th round over Chicago (very bad mistake) I drop them from my team in week7 did nothing for me..since after their bye week(9) they seem to do better but its against weak teams..wk10 TB..wk11 StLouis (not weak just a bad game played) now they got Wash week12 weak...Phila week 13 (no McNabb ) so weak..and week14 NYG (besides Tiki) weak...so overall they should do well to get you into the playoffs. :bye:

I dropped the Panthers a few weeks ago and have been playing whoever plays OAK. This week its SD so I was just going to keep them the rest of the way, but CAR is still sitting there mocking me. So tempting......

Orlando Pace is out for the year, and as a result, the Rams offensive line looked horrendous. I am not saying the Panthers defense does not deserve some credit, but the Rams looked like a team that didn't give a darn yesterday.
