Have an empty IR spot? Are you patient? (1 Viewer)

Cory Luebke was going BANANAS...B-A-N-A-N-A-S.........before he got hurt last year. He's still relatively young (28) and could be a steal later on in the season.

Except that he was just just shut down.I'd rather take a flier on Beachy for an IR spot.
Colby Lewis Daniel Hudson
Felipe PaulinoIf you can roster guys like this for half a season, your roosters are too big, IMO.
They're why God created the DL slot. It doesn't serve any purpose if you don't use it. If you can stash one of these guys for a few months without having another of your players get hurt, that's a win-win.

Anyone know why Paulino is listed on the DL on yahoo, but Luebke or Lewis, etc are not?

Would pick up Luebke or Lewis if I could stash them on the DL, not sure I have much interest in Paulino though (or should I?)

Paul Sporer talked him up as a potential breakout guy in his rankings last year. He was off to an incredible start and then had Tommy John surgery after just 7 games. Should be back for the second half. That's all I got.

Prior to the season, in many cases a team will announce that a player will start the season on the DL. This only indicates the club's intention to place him on the DL. Until the player is actually put on the official Major League Baseball DL, he cannot be placed into the DL position in Yahoo! Sports Fantasy Baseball. Most actual transactions will not take place until just prior to that particular team's first game of the season. This means that the player will be given DL status following the nightly update after their team plays their first regular-season game.

Updates:

Colby Lewis: Continuing bullpen sessions, about to progres to live pitching. On track for late May early June return.

Daniel Hudson: Continues bullpen sessions. On track for return ~ASG.

Brandon Beachy: On target for return before ASG.

Cory Luebke: Still shut down.

If you could only pick one, which would you take for a DL spot? I'm thinking Lewis simply due to his progression. Thoughts?

Beachy, I think he has the highest ceiling

Colby Lewis had another setback and is shutdown for two weeks. I've went with him because I expected him to be back faster than anybody else. That was wrong. Beachy is obviously the #1 DL stash, but who else is of worthy mention?

Nick Piecoro‏@nickpiecoro 26mHudson threw 74 pitches today, plus another 10 in bullpen. Maybe only need a few starts in the minors? "We'll see how it goes," Towers said.Nick Piecoro‏@nickpiecoro 1hDaniel Hudson today in extended spring training: 6 ip, 7 h, 4 r, 4 er, 1 bb, 3 k. 74 pitches. Heard he was up to 95 mph.

Looks like Hudson's toast.

I have Luebke and Lewis, but not at all counting on either of them for anything. I do have a high hopes for Eaton though.

Are they gonna move Hudson? Any chance he turns it around or is he done?
