Is there an episode next week, or are they taking the week off due to holiday like they sometimes do? I know there is/was a new episode on HBO go, but was wondering if that was part of the reason for doing it.

They were promoting hbogo last night by being able to see episode 7 - next week's episode - a week early by signing up this week. That would leave me under the impression that there will be a Memorial Day weekend new episode.

This show is awesome. That's all I have to say. I'm going to be on Siesta Key next weekend and I'm already looking to see if the hotel has HBO so I can watch this in real-time while on vacation.

A few episodes ago there was a scene with Cersei & Joffrey talking. Cersei tells him he has to be nice to Sansa for political reasons. I thought they may work in his apology earlier than they did. Sansa's a pretty big prize for anyone to marry. Don't wanna say too much more.

oh yeahhhhhh...forgot about that. I need to go watch the first episodes again now that its more clear what is going onI think it's just a way to show she's slowly coming to grips with who she really is. She's vying with Tyrion as my favorite character.

I think it's pretty close, though I'm sure others will disagree. Some of the characters are portrayed differently than I imagined them, but I think some of that is me - I'm looking back from the perspective of 4 books and I'm sure that's coloring my impressions.I also think that part of some readers' frustrations is that the release of information is handled differently on the show than in the books (& some of THAT is also due to hindsight but it's hard to un-know something once you've learned it). It doesn't bother me that much because, with the lack of POV structure in the books, the show's creators have to not lose non-readers and so have to organize things in a different manner. We can't see inside of characters' minds as we can in the books.On the whole, I think they've done a fantastic job with the adaptation. The casting has been about as good as one could hope for with special shoutouts to Ned, Jaime, Arya, Dany, Bran, Varys, and Littlefinger.'Gr00vus said:

- the opening title sequence of this show is the best I've ever seen. usually I fast forward through the opening of most shows, but I watch this one every time.

Bronn. He is a sellsword that was at the inn when Cat captured Tyrion. He joined the group that took him captive and transported him to Eyrie.

Bronn is the guy's name who fights for Tyrion. He was at the inn when Catelyn arrests Tyrion and was also the guy who kicked the most butt when the mountain clan attacked Cat's troop on the way to the Eyrie.Bran's wolf was with him in the book and probably the single biggest complaint I've seen on various MBs today was the wolf not being there when he was attacked.thoughts from this ep:- "let me see it one more time!"

Well, he had pretty well demonstrated at that point that he was more than willing to sacrifice her life (and that of her unborn child) in order to get what he wanted. And since she knew that he wasn't the dragon, there wasn't much reason for her to intervene at that point.'Evilgrin 72 said:

The thing with the source material is you get a ton of internal dialogue and it is told from specific character's POV. So it is quite different. The events are always filtered through the eyes of particular POV in the books.'Gr00vus said:

That's what I was driving at, based on the whole scene with the hot egg in this episode and Dany's Superman-like resistance to the heat. I'm not the right person for in depth analysis. All I'm going on is Dany's brother claiming he was the dragon up until last night. But slowly Dany was showing that of the two she was really the strong one.
