Wonder how they are going to reintroduce the whole Tysha aspect of Tyrion's character. As it stands, it was a quick snippet in season 1 that no viewer is really going to remember. That issue is at the very core of the character and coming events.

The big reveal in the books happens between Tyrion and Jamie right before Tyrion escapes. I imagine they will keep that scene largely intact, considering how important it is for both characters.

I don't think the complaints are so much "OMG, I can't believe Game of Thrones depicted a rape!" I don't think anyone would have batted an eyelash if it depicted Ramsey Snow raping someone.

The complaints are happening, IMO, because its out of character with the way the books and the show have attempted to humanize Jaime.

They could always begin with a flashback scene and actually depict Tyrion with his wife, Jaimee's involvement, and Tywin's handling of the situation. Link it to the present as something Tyrion is remembering while sitting in the black cells. It's not like he has much else to do but reminisce.

so if none of the makers of the show think it showed what we think it did or intended it to be that, I think jamies arc is still going to go on as we think it should. nothing to get fired up or worried about- they just slightly screwed up one scene of a great show.and lol at "everyone with half a brain".

How is it really hard to see how they bring it back? Bran & crew free themselves from Craster's and get back on their way to find the three-eyed crow. What has been irrevocably changed to keep that from happening? His story arc was way ahead of everyone else's.

One of the series' better episodes. Great mix of book material and new scenes. The glimpse at the inner workings of the Others at the end was cool and wholly unexpected, and something that wouldn't be possible in the books.

I don't mind the North of the Wall stuff changing in regards to us getting glimpses of The Others - that needs to be done for the show. I don't particularly like the arc changes that require everyone to meet at Craster's for a made up purpose - nor do I need to hear some random dude's fighting credentials so when Jon kills him we think Jon is a decent fighter (or Mance or whomever).

King's Landing changes are a wash. I don't think they harm the book story in any way.

The *huge* change - that I think is horrible - is Ser Jorah wasn't called out by Ser Barristan before the sacking of Meereen. In the books, Daenerys send Ser Barristan and Jorah into the sewers as a punishment - followed by Jorah's exile. Maybe that will still come into play but at this point I have no idea what they are doing with some of the character arcs. All I know is that Ygritte better damn die.

Totally agree. I've been watching and enjoying it because it's really well done, but I know everything that's going to happen. I don't have a problem with a few things that throw me off. I had to text my brother tonight to make sure i wasn't missing something, then we debated about where we thought it was going to go. Doesn't happen most weeks. Nice change.

It was a great episode. I don't mind the changes for the most part. We knew it was going to happen. Somethings that work well in print wouldn't have worked as well on the screen.

Interesting changes. Some I liked and some I didn't, but nothing that seemed like it would adversely affect the general story arc.
