I think I need to start the "GoT must use spoilers after book 3" thread. Look for it soon. You'll either have to go to the GoT Spoilers OK Through Book 3 thread or the GoT Spoilers OK Until The Beginning of Book 4 thread.

Maybe the brother hood finds her body though.too early. gotta make people forget about her to make it more shocking. The cliffhanger could be Lady StonheartSo, Coldhands next week? Jon gets to castle black to warn the few who are left and prep for battle? I do not think we get the first stage of the battle next week. I'm not sure what cliffhanger we get, although may Coldhands is a bit of one, especially if they show him to actually be Benjen Stark. What else could be in store for the season finale?
I finished each book in about 2 weeks. Get on it man!Exactly. Guess I can't read this thread anymore. I've read through book 3. Dangerous to read this one....cast out of the TV thread....I'll probably still stick with them just in case a someone not caught up happens to hit this thread (purposefully or accidentally). I'd feel freer about the no spoiler thing in the ADWD thread.Right, ok do remember that. And you don't have to use spoiler tags. The illiterate or slow are no longer cowed to in here.

1. They need to give the viewers an uplift after Ep 9.
2. The precedent was set with Theon to discard the chronological differences between the book/show.
3. With the emphasis this season on Beric and his resurrections it is fresh in the viewers minds
4. What else are they gonna end with?
5. The surprise will be lessened when it is announced Michelle Fairly has signed on for S4 anyways
You may very well be right but I'm thinking there's a chance

Its my guess for an ending visual before the screen goes black.Think they will do wolf king scene? I hated reading that
I skipped ahead to see if she diedIt was even worse in the book when they ended Arya's chapter with the possibility that she too was dead. I had to put the book down for a while after that. For me the worst part of the red wedding was arya being so close to finally reuniting with her family. You figured Robb wouldn't last, but I didn't see a total wipeout of a significant portion of the north's top brass and its main army, as well as Kat, coming. And the set up for it was pretty brutal. Martin got you thinking it might be possible for Robb to work out of it - and then wham. You figured Robb might get whacked but there'd be payback by the north - instead Martin wrote near total devastation and left little to no hope for the north any time soon. That's what made it so shocking.Yeah, I've been accused of being a #### for saying this before, but I've never understood how a reader could have been shocked by the Red Wedding. I pretty much assumed Robb was dead as soon as he broke the oath. I don't thinks assumed Catelyn would get it, but I never figured Robb would be around for the end game. He never even got a viewpoint chapter, IIRC.re: foreshadowing - there were just as many foreshadowing moments in the book... Cat's preoccupation with the hospitality food, etc...

When was Stannis a king?.If King's blood is so all powerful that you can just get a leech fat with some and then burn him and people die... why not just leech some blood off of Stanis? You know, an ACTUAL king, as opposed to the ******* of a former king?
Mellisandre originally thought she would have to sacrifice Gendry/Edric for the blood to work, but Davos talked Stannis out of letting her do it. Not sure she really knows if the leeches will work. Also she apparently used up most of Stannis's midichlorians or whatever making the shadow baby (which is why she can't just keep making them) so he might not have enough left for the blood stuff to work.If King's blood is so all powerful that you can just get a leech fat with some and then burn him and people die... why not just leech some blood off of Stanis? FTR, I haven't read ADWD...but I don't care about being spoiled. I know the broadstrokes of that book anyway.(HULK) said:I am in favor of removing the spoiler tags from this thread. Make this thread for people all caught up on the books and the show.
Is that why Howland Reed hasn't been around?(HULK) said:Prologue of Book5 indicates that Bran is not as unique as you think.Ramsay Hunt Experience said:I don't think Bran will warg with the dragons. If we think of the journey from Catelyn Stary to Lady Stoneheart as one that essentially starts with Bran's injury, there's a certain appeal to having it be Bran who walks her back.
The whole conversation between Arya and Thoros about "bringing back a man who lost his head once" has set up Stonehands for the finale here. Whether or not they show the actual resurrection..I don't know....but I think they might do the epilogue scene from ASOS and kill whatever Frey killed Robb's wife.kneeshooter said:Here's why I think they might:KarmaPolice said:too early. gotta make people forget about her to make it more shocking.Hodor said:The cliffhanger could be Lady StonheartLeeroy Jenkins said:So, Coldhands next week? My vote is next season for both. Definitely the latter next year. Might get her pulled out of the river and discovered though. So is zombie cat going to appear in the next episode or next season? Same with joffery's death?

how far in the book is joff's death? I really hope it isn't episode 9 next season. It needs to be earlier and really catch people of guard.
He also wrote the source materialGrrm is writing episode 2 ......
My vote is next season for both. Definitely the latter next year. Might get her pulled out of the river and discovered though.agreed. Next season should be heavy on Lannisters / Wall storylines - there is not much left in Dany's arc to cover...So is zombie cat going to appear in the next episode or next season?
