I am sure they will sex it up, but there is no sex (Book(s) were written in the early 50's) and very little violence in the books

They almost have to do a True Detective and switch main characters every so often - otherwise it deviates a lot from the books - and there is just not that much happening.

I would guess they include the Prelude. At least as flashbacks and background. Although it might be expensive.
