He looked decent last preseason and seemed to have his teammates full support(unlike many other backup QBs in the league). I think he'll get a shot somewhere else.
Also FWIW, Andre Woodson has looked terrific and absolutely terrible. One day he looks like a great pick, the next he looks like he couldn't even play in the Arena league. I don't think his play has anything to do with Jared's cut.
I'm curious about their plans for Woodson. Still unclear whether they would even consider carrying four QBs on the roster, and logic would dictate Woodson stays as the emergency/developmental QB. So do the Giants go with David Carr or Anthony Wright? Clearly the Giants would love for Carr to come in and blow the doors off Wright and make it an easy decision, but the problem they have is that Carr looks a LOT better in practice than he does with in-game pressure. Might lead them to a head fake and think Carr has "righted himself" when maybe he hasn't.

I don't think Carr has done very well with the Gmen thus far. I think they are figuring the 3rd string is a developmental type position and will roll with Carr or Woodson. Letting Carr take it easy and learn by not getting demolished by defenders might be a decent idea.
IMO Woodson was too good of a prospect before his senior year, that he won't last thru waivers. Curiousity will force some GM to grab him for whatever the minimum deal is. There's also too many coaches out there that think they can "make" a good player. I don't think he'd make it to their PS but yeah it does seem like he should be on it in 2008.
