NFL Policy says it will no longer tolerate helmet to helmet hits when a player leads with the crown of there helmet and instructed referees to eject the player committing the foul.
I think the NFL has left a lot of interpretation of this rule with the ref in charge of the game. Why not be clear in the rule that if a player is flagged for leading with his helmet in hitting a player he is automatically ejected. Straight to the point.
I feel if the player hit doesn't get up and has to leave the game then they will eject the fouling player after a helmet to helmet hit. If the player is able to continue they will let the player who committed the infraction stay in the game.
