Helu starting (1 Viewer)

I had this guy on and off my team all year waiting for Shanny to give him a chance. Now I think his hands are tied. He has to start this kid from here on out. And of course he's no longer on my roster.

Have him on my bench, obviously would have liked the points but if he can be a starter thru the playoffs I would be happy.
:pickle: :pickle: :pickle: Started him. As I posted earlier in the week. Shanny is not always such a mystery when you look behind the curtain. He deadpans alot, so don't listen to what he says. He really just plays to the fresh legs and what he thinks is working each week. Helu should start again next week - if nothing else to see what he has in him after a full load. And then we will see how Helu come out of that. If he is still fresh in practice, another start. Otherwise, Torain.Just my thoughts.

Just cut him this week before he went off, I cut Kevin Smith last week before he went off. I'll let you guys know who I cut next week so you can grab them and put them in your line up. :wall:

He just saved my season. On the brink of the playoffs, with AD out, my lineup was weak, things were looking bleak, but I eked out a victory to survive until at least next week.

Ya that train of thought is definitely genius (Sarcasm). Shanahan is impossible to predict but he has gone through the motions now and realizes it has to be Helu he has no other choice (No pun intended). Torrain has been awful and even though he has toiled with a few other guys through the season he has no other option but to play the talent. The whole see how he performs after a full load logic is idiotic to say the least. Talent can't be denied time and time again and as it gets late into seasons when teams are out of playoff contention they see what they have in their youth for next year and Helu is the guy.

This is setting up to be some all time (playoff) Shannanigans!
Agreed, Shanny now saying after Sunday's win that he now believes Roy Helu is "ready" to be a full-time back.Decoded, this means: "I'll be laughing at FF players as I start a different RB next week"Helu looked good, he should get the carries, my only apprehension is Mike Shananigan..

OK, So I missed on the Shanny crystal ball on this one. However....Does anyone else get a feeling that Shannihan is deadpanning this week as Helu goes back west to a stadium he knows and has had success in ....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WSu4AF7CCX0Im not saying. Im just saying.... Shannihan doesn't usually come out and say "This is my guy" and he did just drop Choice....
I just dropped Helu so start him with confidence. I just got sick of skeletor and his tactics.

:D Funny stuff. Sorry man.How long have you seen me posting on here GB. 10 years or so? You should know by now not to completely fade me! Maybe just half-way, just not all the way! I ain't the average Bear. And stop out thinking yourself! Helu is good for a week or two still this season, depending on how he reacts to toting the ball 30 times.

Steer clear unless youre desperate. I've played the Shanny games long enough to know better by now.
I don't even look at skill position players on Skeletor run teams. Helu SHOULD get the majority of carries next week but it is Skeletor and he hates your fantasy teams.

Hilarious that Waldman recommends Vereen, Reece, and Donald Brown as adds over Helu this week. He's been down on Helu all year, and, while I understand that Shanahan is a wild card here and there's reason to temper expectations a bit, just suck it up, admit Helu's more talented than you thought, and recommend him more highly. I like Vereen, too, but do you really think those three guys are more likely to produce over the rest of the season than Helu? Give me a break.

Right-on sir. I'm going to factor him in for 5pts in non-ppr each week. Thus, there is no way I'm starting this guy unless I need huge upside in a given week.

Now Shanny is talking about giving this guy 25 carries a game.

Wonder if he's serious or if it's more Shannigans?

Checking in to make sure there aren't any last minute shenanigans going on (i.e. Royster is starting or Kyle Shanahan is starting!).
