Check it out....  US Coast Guard rescue diver is lowered from helicopter into the raging rapids of the Niagara River to rescue a 60 year-old woman trapped inside her car.  He managed to get her, but too late. :(   But where do they get these guys from to do this kind of job?  I imagine it must take a heap of training in all sorts of weather.

One of my friends was a rescue diver. He has some stories to tell for sure. I can’t imagine jumping outta of a helicopter into a raging ocean, but he misses the rush.
