Not your favorite or guys you consider to be the best at their positions, but what players do you enjoy watching more than others?

For me -

QB - Cam Newton. He's right, noone else has ever really been the player he's trying to be. Others have come close, others have been better in each facet; Vick was a better runner, many have been better passers. There are others better at the 2 minute drill. He's frustrating at times. But for pure excitement, few come close. Honorable mention: Russell Wilson

Def - JJ Watt. Is there a player who plays better? He's simply a technician and his coach isn't afraid to utilize him in many ways. HM: Justin Houston

WR - Desean Jackson. Not the best receiver by any stretch, but if he catches the ball, watch out. HM: OBJ

What players would you suggest keeping an eye on, for the excitement they bring?

I find nothing interesting about Lynch off the field. But, on the field, sure.

Adrian Peterson - his combo of power and speed is unlike anything I've ever seen. Combine that with the tenacity that he runs with and he's my favorite RB of all-time.

Luke Kuechly - is there a better LB in the league right now? Certainly some arguments to be made but he's the best in my book and I enjoy watching him play on Sundays.

I almost mentioned sproles in the op, but he seems to have lost a step. When he was at K state he was absolutely electrifying.

SD with LT and sproles was a thing of beauty but ended up disappointing each year.

Didn't even think about Reece, playing in Oakland can't help.

IMO, the most interesting man in the NFL isn't a player - its Chip Kelly. Love him or hate him, everyone watches to see what Chip does. As far as players, the most interesting are the 11 offensive players Kelly puts on the field. His system may not last, but everyone's watching.

In his prime, loved watching Vick play. That game against Washington where he scored 6 TDs was one of the greatest performances I've ever seen in any sport.

Adrian Peterson as above. The "perfect" runner.

Gronk, both on and off the field.

Jared Allen is another for me on the defensive side.

When he's healthy, it's hard to find a more exciting player than RG3. What he did his rookie season was incredible.

It's a real shame defenses started keeping the safety down to cover the TE running a crossing route and ruined him as a passer.

He broke a ton of NCAA records. But not being D1 people just ignore it. Ran for 2,740 yards in 12 games in '06. Average 190.8 rushing yards per game. Second all time, all division behind Westbrook with 9,259 all-purpose yards.

Dude has to lie about how tall he is. Stronger and faster then people realize, then you consider that hes 5'6" and its ridiculous. Over the past four years hes bulked up every offseason, hes just a machine.

Agree with Gronk, Megatron, and healthy first season RG3 (skins fan). Also really like Jamaal Charles, so good. Actually agree with the Chip Kelly suggestion too, I have found myself trying to watch as many Eagles games as possible the last two years. Percy Harvin and Golden Tate too, the guys that are receivers but play like RBs after the catch are great to watch.

Woodhead is the kind of player I was hoping people would mention. He isn't a household name really, but he's good at what he does and is a guy worth cheering for.

On the field, Steve Smith and Luke Kuechley. Smith is just always at 100% fight mode. Kuechley is just real good and seems to always be involved in the play.

as a Titans fan, he intrigues me. Obviously we can't be sure he's a franchise QB but good character and highlights are virtually a given. I'm excited to see what he can do but trying to not be too hopeful.

Rogers has that flick, too. 40 yard darts with no wind-up. Different cat. Vick's running as well. Magic like Sanders, Payton. I can't get over the dog thing myself, but that doesn't change the athlete.

In my youth I was most interested in watching Earl Campbell. You never knew when he might run someone right over or carry 4 or 5 guys down the field. Later, Barry Sanders cam along and was interesting because of all the moves he had. We had a short stint of Bo Jackson but when you watched him you just knew he was special. The RB that popped in my mind at present was Adrian Peterson. A pure beast that can set records any week.

I haven't had so many guys that stood out like that at QB. I remember being impressed by Randall Cunningham. He could pull out one of those just crazy wow plays from time to time. Favre would be a favorite. Not only because I am a Packer fan but he would win you a lot of games and lose you a few too with some crazy plays but he could pull some crazy plays from out of nowhere at any time.

On defense my biggest standout was Lawrence Taylor. He was such a dang beast. Reggie White was fun and JJ Watt's last couple of years have been pretty amazing as well.

Arian Foster should be mentioned. Marches to the beat of his own drum, and in his best years was amazing to watch run... Made everything look so smooth and effortless.

Seriously, Bob "Hitman" Sanders used to be one of my favorite players in his time. I remember when the Colts were like a bottom 10 defense, and he almost singlehandedly turned them into a top 5 stop unit, in his Defensive Player of the Year season, when I think they won the Super Bowl.

Tony Dungy reportedly cast a lone MVP vote for Bobby Wagner in 2014, because after he returned from injury, SEA's scoring defense (Pts/G average) was reduced by something like double digits to 7?

I'm disagreeing with his side that Gronk would be on the same planet as Watt as a DE, regardless of how much work he put into it. He's very talented but his talents are more suited to the position (and competition) he currently plays.
