Hey Detroit - it could be worse... (1 Viewer)

JETS. The real laughingstock of the NFL.So we have a HC under contract for 2 more years and we get a 4th rounder as comp. A throw away pick? That is by FAR the worst comp ever for a HC under contract changing teams. By Far.What is this gonna be now - 5 coaches in 7 years? We currently have no real QB for 2006. No real RB for 2006. No Real offensive line for 2006.We will have to watch Lamont Jordan and Satana Moss be top 10 at their positions for the next 5 years. At least Detroit has a top WR in Roy W and KJ has shown something (although it remains to be seen if his rookie season was a flash in the pan or not).At least you guys have had Barry S - one of the top RB's of all time and arguably the most exciting player to ever play. You had him for 10 years. We've had Ken O'Brien. Our hilite is 1969 - years before I was even born.Do non-JETS fan realize that the patriots dynasty is being run by coaches that LEFT the JETS high-and dry! Talk about insult to injury. Every win by the Patriots is doubly painful for a JETS fan. Its like twisting the knife in deeper.Laughingstock.

Detroit has some talent, but both franchises have major QB problems, front office problems, and coaching issues. I believe Detroit is closer to competing than NY, but that isn't saying a whole lot.

Oh, did I mention we play our home games in GIANTS stadium? Can it be expressed how demeaning that is?

You've won a Super Bowl...we've never even been there...enough said...
Doesn't a Super Bowl appearance expire after 30 yrs? I'm 34 and have seen nothing!
Right. Been a long, long, long time ago. Let's face it. The JETS heroes are still from that SB year. That's all we got.

"Do non-JETS fan realize that the patriots dynasty is being run by coaches that LEFT the JETS high-and dry! Talk about insult to injury. Every win by the Patriots is doubly painful for a JETS fan. If I had a nickel for every time a NY team fleeced a Boston based team I would be a rich man. Besides, if look at he history of the Jets/Pats, you would know all about the fleece job Parcells/CuMar and Co. pulled on New England. So cry me a river.

Good points. Don't care. :boxing:

You whining fans kill me! Until you have gone thru the agony of being a Saints fan all your life, quit yer #####ing! Did I mention that we played a "home game" in GIANTS stadium? We own this right -------> :bag:

Not the "Boston area", more like Belicheck saying the wasn't yet "prepared" to take a head coaching position, stepping down after a day, then bolting for another franchise.FYI- Clemens and Ruth were Boston's front office's own stupidity.

We used to be able to include Cincy in this discussion but they turned their backs on us...And think about this - every one of our home games is in GIANTS stadium. Every single one.

"FYI- Clemens and Ruth were Boston's front office's own stupidity."First of all the Babe Ruth thing was close to a hundred years ago and the part about Roger Clemens had NOTHING to do with the Yankees. If you remember correctly, it was the Blue Jays that lured Clemens outta Boston, not the Yankees. My point is that listening to a NY fan whine and moan about being shortchanged in the sporting world is like Ron Jeremy complaining about not getting laid enough. No one wants to hear it. Period. Jets suck. Go Pats. I hope you enjoy the ineptitude of your New York football team. It's not so easy being a championship caliber team when there is a salary cap. Good luck with the early draft pick.

Do you guys fly to your "home games"?

Jets are awful right now. I agree.[Last highjack] As far as the salary cap... I do recall the Red Sox have a rather large payroll themselves. [End Last highjack]

I love when Yankee fans try to compare their 200 million dollar payroll to other teams. Last year the Red Sox were the 2nd highest payroll at 117 million and the Mets were 3rd at 104 million.Newsflash: 117 million is not close to 200 million. It's not even in the same zip code.

Actually not a Yankee fan- just don't like the Sox (went to school up there).

Jets fans have it far better than Lions fans. Lions have won ONE playoff game since 1957. Jets fans will get to dog Giants fans after Sunday too.
