When Lavar Arrington bought out his contract from the Redskins, I think everyone expected him to sign with someone else in a day or two because he was such an "impact player" and a "difference maker".
But it's now been two weeks almost and not a word beyond the famous "he's scheduled a visit with Team X". So maybe all the other defensive coaches knew what Gregg Williams and Gregg Blache know and that's that Lavar is a better player on paper than he is on the field.

When the Skins sat Lavar down I couldn't help but wonder if the staff's film study showed him missing lots of assignments. True, he has a knack for making that big play that gets on Sportscenter; but if you freelance in a highly regimented defensive scheme, you'd better guess right a lot or you're gonna find yourself on Gibbs' bench.
