Hillis deserves more touches (1 Viewer)

He said the same thing about Hardesty last week. Maybe they'll only be passing to RB's from now on so both can get their deserved touches, per Shurmur.

STC was all over this in the game thread. Some info there.

They were playing both together at times and don't forget Hillis can play FB. I like that idea if and only if Hillis gets plenty of touches.

Little needs to play more and more, then maybe they'll have a decent WR combo with he and Mass-who is improving.

They are pretty set at TE.

I read Evan Moore would possibly be used in a Jurevicius role and there he was doing that on a red zone play.

I don't know if they have enough talent or enough elite talent to be successful, but I feel like they are starting to use it well. Even that might be a stretch, I'm starting to like the plan there and it's been some time since they progressed.

Hardesty looked pedestrian and dropped FOUR passes.
One was about as easy as could be. He was all alone over the middle, a nice soft pass right to him and...somehow he dropped it. Some of this is rookie or "rookie" jitters, but like the announcers said-they need to put alot of time in with the juggs machines.

Hillis has been misused all season. Not taking advantage of him on screens, not using him on short yardage, just boggles my mind.
huh? hillis was used a ton in the first 2 games. he missed the 3rd with illness, hardesty played well, and earned more touches last game. both are fine players. there is really only one game where you could argue hillis was misused.

The main thing is mcCoy can't be throwing the ball 61 times. They need to run the ball more no matter who they give to.

Hillis is a tremendous all-around RB. I think Shurmur realizes that. It wasn't a surprise to see Hardesty split time this week with Hillis coming off a bout with illness & having substantial weight loss. Hillis is a beast, & it's true they need to be more creative with him. That'll come.

McCoy is one of the best young QBs in the NFL & Little should be a stud in time. Massaquoi/Watson/Moore are solid, but they could use a good slot receiver. The slot should be a priority (along with D) next draft. Their OL is good when at full strength. This offense is going to get better & better. The Browns could be one of the surprises of 2012 if they can play decent D.
