The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports Steelers starting WR Santonio Holmes, who hasn't returned a punt in a regular-season game since his rookie campaign in 2006, will return punts in Saturday's preseason game against the Minnesota Vikings.

I think I heard Steve Smith was returning punts in camp and may do so this upcoming year. The Eagles will also put Westbrook in there when they have to have a good one. It doesn't mean anything negative in terms of how the team views the player's role. It could wear down the player, risk an injury, but I'm wondering how many punt returners have been injured recently.
