Homeland (1 Viewer)

I enjoyed the first 2 seasons, somehow got bored/busy and skipped season 3. Is this worth catching up on in time for the new season?

Made it through 2.5 episodes and got bored again when Brody was reintroduced. Guess I'll try out SofA or Boardwalk Empire.

I still think the worst thing that's happened on the show was when Abu Nazir went from a Bin Laden type terrorist to a generic Die Hard villian in a Members Only jacket. They ####ed that up royally.

This show should have ended after 1 season. I remember after watching the first episode thinking, "Guess they won't make a second season." First season was great. The last two have reminded me why I miss 24.

the last two reminded me why I DON'T miss 24
I meant it in the fact that that's what they tried to create and they failed miserably. 24 was great because we knew it was outlandish. We were OK with how far fetched it was because that's what it was supposed to be. This started off as a great show and then tried to become a season of 24. Only, no one was on board with things being far fetched. And on top of that, it wasn't even as exciting as 24 was.

That's all I meant.

FWIW, I agree. You knew what you were getting with 24 but Homeland was sold as a realistic show.

Exactly. Well. Maybe not 100% realistic, but it felt like it could be. At no point while watching 24 did I ever think, "I wonder if stuff like this really goes on?"

I knew it wasnt real when a dead President Palmer was trying to sell me insurance. How would he pay out any claims?

put it in spoilers but how was he reintroduced?I thought he died.
Sorry but I don't know how to do spoilers. In S3E3 Brody is in a jungle or village somewhere being attended to by a doctor. Maybe it was a flashback, I'm pretty sure it was present time though. That is when I tuned out.

You need to jump on the Sons of Anarchy train dude.
Never seen it but I have heard it gets progressively more ridiculous
The thread on this board is now just a complete goof-fest. I don't think there are any people left who are even remotely interested in it as an actual show.

First two seasons are pretty decent. Way downhill from there.

I still enjoy SOA. And I'm looking forward to seeing the final season. I couldn't care less that people on this board think it's ridiculous. I find it very entertaining.

DVR set. It's an awful show, but I feel somewhat pot committed. I'll watch Boardwalk Empire in this slot, and on a crappy Tuesday night I'll watch this drivel.

Actually I recall the end of last season being pretty intense. Maybe it'll be good.

Didn't sign up for Showtime. I'll let others watch and see if it gets better. Last season was enough for me.

Yeah, if she had drowned that kid I would have checked out from this show.
:goodposting:

Was hoping we wouldn't have to deal with any kind of drama related to the baby, but no such luck. With the way the story line went last night, I'm worried this is going to be an ongoing issue, which is totally unnecessary.

If you were to go to youtube, and were on fire, you may be able to watch both new episodes...not saying its worth it, just saying.
Thanks but no thanks.

It wasn't because of the money, it was that I didn't want to waste my time watching it.
