Hoopsguys - FBG ventures into NBA DFS (1 Viewer)

Whew. Solo w/ kids tonight. Last minute info from the NBA wasn't conducive to good parenting. Finally got them eating their chili w/ grilled cheese and watching Sofia. 

I don't know how I feel about what my cash finally became:

Freak/Bledsoe

Liggins/Wade

Roberson/Turner (pretty sure I wanted Turner gone, not sure how I failed that)

Love/Ibaka

Catching up with a couple notifications here. You said you liked all the centers. At Draft Kings you start a Utility position that I often fill with a second center. This year in order to allow for greater options in lineups they assigned two positions to many players. Boogie is C/PF and there's a few more... so, some nights, you can have a Center at PF, F, C and Utility.

I know GS tries to force teams to go small, but it seems to me that Davis is at a point that his basketball acumen/skill should be at a point that he can use his immense physical tools to impose his will on GS.

Sorry so slow. I would have agreed with this prior to tip-off but I faded him at DK tonight based on price. It's halftime as I reply here, and he looks to be on his way to a big number. The Pels have a lead, so it's looking good for him.

I faded him in cash (FD) because I couldn't afford Westy, Love, Wade, and him. Ran him out in a couple GPPs, but paired him with Lebron in one of those. 

 
Anyone consistently getting scores close to what the IVC predicted?  4 games with a 220+ total and 90% of my lineups won't sniff 90% of the IVC prediction.  I'll ask again, but would one of the 15 experts we're paying please comment on why the content quality and quantity has been severely lacking?

 
Considering everything that happened to players in my LUs last night, losing $11 bucks strangely feels like a win, heck, even my cash LU cashed 100% with DRose  in it. 

 
None of the big three traveling to Memphis.  I guess Smith and Shumpret are must starts.  Thoughts on TT?  This is a huge insult to Memphis, does Gasol go off?

$30 in, $7 out for me.  Rondo caught one of my lineups as I wasn't around at tip.  Pretty much the the only thing that went right was Atl/Orl exposure.

Depending on how they are priced, I'd also say it's a bit of a boost for the Mem starters as well especially SF and PF

Thought I poised for a reasonably big night. The OT allowed Bledsoe to have a big night, taking me to about 220 w/ Freak, Roberson, and Turner to go. They combined for a good 1st half, but then the blowout happened and I lost out on 4th-Quarter-Westbrook, plus a shift for the other 2. Finished with 295. Raked cash but just missed my triples and min-cashing in a couple GPPs. +34% though, so no complaints. My GPP-only variations all blew.

Just a quick take as I haven't looked at things yet today. 

I've had a man-crush on Beal for awhile. I'm starting to question my obsession though. No clue about his match-up, salary, etc. Just observing that he hadn't been quite as awesome in recent weeks as he was earlier. 

My initial thoughts at PG included Harrison. Cleveland could be really, really bad tonight. But again, I haven't looked at things yet. 

Do you have a feel about whether Serge is going tonight?

Is Okafor sitting today? If so, then Embiid is probably my starting point at C unless his salary has exploded.

Way too many good options at PG, I'm willing to pay up for one if not both tonight

According to basketball monster Serg is playing tonight

Not sure about Okafor, Embiid is at $7000, just trusting the process :P

Ok. If Gay plays I'm all-in on him. If he doesn't I'm all-in on Casspi. Might be on Casspi regardless. I think Lopez is my guy at C. Embiid's minute restriction scares me at his salary point. I think I'm happy w/ Wall/Harrison at PG but there are lots of good plays there I think. 

 
I will absolutely run at least some GPP action with Koufos @ C. He had some really nice outings w/ Boogie out last year. Hou isn't a great matchup, but a starting C who can score and is active is a steal at $3700.

Aldrich and Gay both out

 
Ugh. I have 1.8 units in play right now. Given how unsure I am about the night, that's not smart. May pull one lineup down entirely in cash to get back in line w/ my bankroll management.

On a night like tonight I think going 20% is OK

I liked Kawi before the Aldrich news so, take that for what its worth.

Not exactly, but close. I'm willing to run 11% of my NBA bankroll out in a given night. Most nights I pull back from that a bit during this time of the year b/c I run all of my fantasy action out of the same account -- daily and traditional. I've got season-long leagues winding up and I'm going to bet a net negative there. I've got whatever NFL DFS action I have (precious little this month). Etc. 

Right now I have 20% of my NBA-designated bankroll out there, which is the "1.8 units" figure. I'm ok w/ that if I think I have a handle on things. I feel like I don't right now. 

On Kawhi, I figured you liked him regardless. I just wish I had a feel on Boston's defense right now. They don't seem to have an identity.

early inclination is to fade harden and rwb and go balanced.  my nba intuition has been awful for 2 weeks straight now though.

Absolutely not an idiot. I have no sense of who to play/not play for CHA any given night. I just tend to fade the whole team because when I don't I pick the wrong guys.
