Hot damn I love the NFL draft. (1 Viewer)

I always thought it looked like "two beach balls and a pretzel nugget" in a baby carriage.

Sucks that the draft begins at 3pm EST instead of their customary noon time slot.

I guess that's due to the new 10-minute time limit for the first round.

WHoa.. I thought I was the only one who thought it was TMNT.

Got to say, Im not nearly as high on the draft as I once was. Has alot to due with ESPN coverage. They actually used to talk about all the picks, as opposed to the current version that drones on and on about the first rounders for 2 days.

 we are making a day of it, golf, bbq, beer and the draft!!! GB west coast time
This is the first year in many that I won't be watching, probably won't be paying much attention to it until Sunday.Country Music Marathon  in the morning, recovery  and minor partying :goodposting: in the afternoon, followed by drunken debauchery  at night. I'll catch up on Sunday.

I only wish that they did the first three rounds on Saturday.

I can see from a business standpoint why they didn't. A lot more people are going to tune in for the later rounds if they start watching round three than if you started with round four.

I guess I'm making an assumption that they're going to show the rest on Sunday. Are they?

can't wait

i gave the wife a girls night out this weekend to ensure no interruptions next weekend!!!!

 it's tough with two little ones (4 and 2) that demand a ton of attention!!!!!

Since the draft is always the last weekend in April, it always coincides closely my birthday. What a birthday present!

 My Birthday is Friday so when my wife doesn't even ask me what I want for my birthday anymore, she knows its spending the weekend in NYC watching the draft.

trey wingo is "hosting" day two.has there been anything "official" from nfl on why they moved round three to sunday?

The draft like an entire season that happens in 2 days. The front offices and scouting departments are the combatants, but its a long time before we see who the actual winners and losers are. Each draft is like a cliffhanger with a resolution that we get to watch play out for years.

Like watching LOST!!!

As a Lions fan, this is basically our Superbowl and I try to treat it as such. Plenty of meat on the grill, lots of booze followed by heartbreak when we pick another offensive player.

Dear Mr. Millen

PLEASE DRAFT DEFENSE--WHAT PART OF YOUR MUSTACHE THINKS HAVING THE LAST RATED DEFENSE IN THE LEAGUE MEANS YOU NEED A RUNNING BACK?!?!?!?!?!

Sincerely,

1957

It might be a tad soft at the top, but this class is deep at critical positions for fantasy footballers. I wouldn't be surprised if more than one 2nd day RB and more than one 2nd day WR become household names by the end of 2008. Early candidates for me include Xavier Omon, Jaymar Johnson, and Peyton Hillis.
