She's sexy, and yes, a little more curvy than most of today's models, but my main problem with her as the back-to-back SI cover girl is that she seems a little young for the selection. I don't know it for a fact, but she's likely one of the youngest- if not the youngest- selected for the cover girl. Cover girl at 19 seems a little young (especially for SI's audience).

yeah i agree that giving her a second cover might have been too early or too soon but maybe they were worried she would be looking like this next yearand wanted to give her a second cover before it was impossible.

I agree that she's extremely pretty and has a "nice" body. What I don't understand is how she can be surrounded by all that other swimsuit talent and not notice that she's no where near as lean as the other girls. All she'd have to do is watch her diet a little, workout a little, and she tighten that mid-section right up. I bet she's the Otis of swimsuit models when it comes to dieting and working out.

Models obviously have a short window to be relevant and considered sexy, but I think Upton getting this cover starting at 19 and in back-to-back years makes it less of a "career achievement". At this rate, she could have more covers than Tiegs/Ireland/Brinkley before the age they had their 1st cover. Upton still seems to belong to the Maxim-generation, and feels like a young choice for SI. She obviously fits the bill, but there are also plenty of women 3-5 years older that could have been good selections too. I'm glad she doesn't. She's in a healthy range now, nowhere close to "obese". Meanwhile, a disturbing number of models, the "swimsuit talent", have serious eating disorders and unhealthy on THE LOW SIDE body fat %s. I've looked through the magazine: Upton is the hottest one in it, by a good margin.Not sure why so many men are so attracted to women whose ribs are showing.

Those in here saying Upton isn't attractive because she's curvier are insane. Seriously. Granted, she's not the hottest woman I've ever seen, but her curves, to me, make her a bit more attractive, because she's not a stick like so many other models. I'd be willing to bet that any guy in here would jump at the chance to go for a roll in the hay with Upton.

Yeah most horny males know who she is. But in order to be considered a superstar, i think you need to crossover into other genres. All shes done is some goofy internet videos, some hamburger commercials, and had a bit part in the three stooges. She hasnt made the leap yet. In a baseball analogy, albert pujols is a baseball superstar but hes not a "superstar" like a derek jeter is. Many previous supermodels (many mentioned here plus condy crawford) made the crossover into superstar status. Shes still not there yet imo.

I think you could be hypercritical of her squishiness but she's undeniably hot.
That's part of the appeal. I don't care for girls who look as though if they fell, they'd break.
