Why choose? I enjoy both. Neither is perfect but they are enjoyable and I plan to watch them. Also, they are completely different. Rings of Power is The Avengers and House of the Dragon is The Boys.

I’m just glad there’s two new fantasy shows on and that I like both and they just started so hopefully seasons for years.

Too soon to rate. Pleasantly surprised with both so far. I think the more adult nature of House of the Dragon will give it the nod eventually, but will have to see how it develops.

I watched the first LOTR movie and that was enough for me. I have zero interest in ever revisiting anything associated with that series.

In fact I just dropped Amazon Video for HBO .

House of the Dragon has been pretty bad. Most of the characters are boring and the time skipping each episode ruins any sense of flow. I will keep watching, but maybe not for much longer.

Rings of Power was really good. Visually it was amazing. Good characters, well acted. What is not to like?

I’ll watch both series but I think Amazon could have something really special on their hands with The Rings of Power IF the story line gets stronger. The visuals really are top notch. Between GoT and The Boys dark fantasy has been at the top of the food chain for a while now, at least with entertainment that I consume. I’m okay with some fantasy that is toned down a little (or a lot?) for the time being.

House of the Dragon is entertaining enough but we can already see where that story is headed. Will we care enough about this group of characters? I might still be a little burned out from GoT however.

Yeah, I will watch this new one, but if it's a bunch of stuffed animals fighting, I'm out

I am loving Rings of Power, can't wait for the next episode. I have a few small complaints, but nothing that spoils the show for me. House if the Dragon is pretty bad. I am planning to keep watching for now, but they could lose me. The characters are just idiots making weirdly bad choices over and over. 1

Funny that the early vote was strongly for the GOT spinoff, but it's becoming increasingly clear that the LOTR prequel is superior viewing.

I have watched both and House of the Dragon is way better. I am having a hard time getting hooked on Rings of Power. Perhaps that is because I never watched Lord of the Rings. Is it a prequel as well?

Like both but had the new ones of each ready to watch last night and chose Dragons. Guess that says a lot.

They did really well with the Expanse too if you haven't checked it out.

I really thought House of Dragon would be the better of the 2, but Ring of Power is pulling away as the better show. And this isn't because RoP is awesome. It's a good show and about what I would have expected. It is just the HotD has been surprisingly poor.

It's like House of Dragons is force feeding us a steady diet consisting solely of bland characters, uninspiring storyline and extended birthing scenes.

Right now I'll take ROP cause at least I'm curious with the mysteries they've set up and there's a couple of people I kinda like. Plus it's beautiful to look at.

Still in for both long term cause I'm a suckered for the genre.

Enjoying but not loving both.

I voted for Rings only because it feels more like an actual new story instead of more of the same.

Having said that... too early.

Loved The Expanse.
