How big is the TV in your bedroom? (1 Viewer)

About to win my Fantasy NBA league, and the ~ 1k pot may be used to replace the 27" CRT TV I currently have in the bedroom. I have a 42" plasma in the main room right now and am deciding between the following options:

1) Buy a 32"-37" plasma or LCD for the bedroom.

2) Buy a 50" plasma for the main room, and move the 42" plasma into the bedroom.

3) Pay down 1k on my 4Runner loan (currently at ~ 8k) and deal with the 27" tube tv in the bedroom for another year or so.

Thoughts?

We have a 32" in our bedroom but only because it wouldn't fit in the built-in cubby over the fireplace. We have a 27" there. I'd love to swap them around. 27" in the bedroom is plenty (that's what she said....har har)

We have a 22" WalMart special that I bought for $139 in our bedroom.

No TV in the bedroom for me. Bouts with insomnia made me change things around, and the first thing I was advised to do is to use the beroom for 3 things.... sleeping, getting dressed, and need I mention #3?

I have a 27" HDTV on the wall in the bedroom. It's big enough, really. Anything larger would dwarf the room.

Ah yes, forward headrolls.

27" old school tube from my freshman year in college (1996). Bought used for $50 at the pawn shop and it still works like a dream.

You should get the biggest one possible. It makes Fox News much more enjoyable.

Exactly what I have now. It works fine - but going from HD to SD sucks when I jump in bed is no fun. I'd probably go to bed earlier if I enjoyed the tv more.

I have a 27 inch HD Samsung tube in the bedroom..bought it right before the plasmas and LCDs started dropping in price.

I think a 32 LCD is a good size for the berdroom.

No TV in the bedroom for me. I've also read that a TV in the bedroom is one of the best things you can do if you're looking to decrease the amount of sex you have with your wife.

But how much did they cost? Everyone wants to know that.Plus how much do you make and how much do you owe on your home. This is all information I'm just dying to know. In fact I can't leave this thread until I find out. The suspense is killing me.

I don't make much money, and rent a 500 sq. ft 1 bdrm apartment with 30 yr old appliances. I park on the street, and pack my lunch 3-4 days a week. I'm broke, but I like TV.

 I actually will read sometimes, but no TV. Bedroom is for the big 3 activites, and getting dressed ranks third.

36" sony.

your plan to buy a 50" for the main room and move the 42" to the bedroom is my exact plan. just don't have the cash right now.

note - it is a large bedroom though. the wall the 42" tv will hang on is probably 18' from the headboard of the bed.

Valuable info. Get the 32" LCD for the bedroom.

50" Sony LCD in the ceiling over my bed.

Sex life still good. Was better before we acquired 2 kids somehow.

All about priorities.

We have a master suite with a bathroom, a changing room, and a bedroom. There's a door between the suite and the rest of the house. If I have my friends over to watch the game, she'll come out and say hi for a little bit, then go into the other room and watch TV or go out and do something. No reason to force her to watch TV with us or not to be able to watch TV. Same thing goes when we want to watch different shows, although she's more likely to go in the bedroom to watch, while I tend to watch the TV in front of our treadmill and get a workout in at the same time. The biggest TV is in the living room (60" HD LCD), followed by the gym (36" tube) followed by the bedroom (21").

 This move helped my #3 life a lot as well. Added benefit.
