How can you not love Raheem Morris? (1 Viewer)

I like Freeman too. Makes watching a Bucs game interesting.

Don't care for Blount's punch-happy character history, but he looks like the spark their running game had been lacking until they brought him in.

I didn't know about Morris last year, but he's doing a nice rebuilding job and I like his personality.

I was paired up with him last year during a charity golf tournament (Derrick Brook's annual event). He is a great guy and very genuine...hope to see good things continue for him.

He also said the Bucs are the best team in the NFC. The guy is crazy.
Perhaps. But as the leader of an inexperienced team, got to love the confidence he's showing in them.Worst that can happen is the team falls back to where everyone thought they'd be. Best case, the team fully believes they are the best and continue the worst-to-first yearly scenario in the NFC South. (Don't think that'll happen as I believe the Falcons are a cut above, but stranger things have happened)

He flamed one of the local press with his "stats are for losers" line. :goodposting:

To ref:

"We're the youngest team in the league. We don't hold."

:lmao:

I like both Morris and Freeman.
Morris: "you know we're the most least penalized team in the league? and the youngest?" Ref: "i didn't know that"

"morris: "we don't hold, that's what i'm trying to say"

Great stuff. Don't know if Freeman will either be a stud fantasy QB, but I think he'll be one of the better NFL qb's in the next 3-5 years. He's only 22 and getting better by the week.

Morris sounded and acted like my high school coach..did not show him doing much game managing though.

 The young pup of the Dungy coaching litter is starting to grow teeth.
Morris never worked under Dungy.
Morris worked under Tomlin who worked under Dungy.
If you want to look at it like that, then fine. To me, "Dungy coaching litter" would indicate only those coaches who worked directly under Dungy. By your definition, Marty Schottenheimer was part of Don Shula's litter. (Monte Clark worked under Shula and later had Schottenheimer on his Detroit staff.)

I don't like the term "coaching litter" and didn't use it. Morris would be considered under the Dungy "coaching tree". Which is what I think the original poster was trying to say.

Fair enough. Tree works much better here than litter. My main reason, though, for posting in this thread was to point out that Morris is more of a Gruden guy than a Dungy guy.

Morris to officials: "We're the least-penalized team in the league, and we're the youngest. We don't hold." Awesome.

I've always liked Morris. I didn't think Freeman was the guy at first, but I was wrong. Another reason why I like Morris. He's always very candid in interviews and rarely gives canned answers.

That being said, he seemed upset or something in his post-game comments with the media. I don't know if he was trying to display a tough persona for his team or what, but it seemed different to me.

Good to hear him on game days.

Edit: I didn't see the "we don't hold" line repeated here already. Good to see the FBG crowd appreciates the same lines.

I hope he likes Blount this week as much as I like Morris because I could use some points from him.

I like the Bucs in general. They seem like a solid organization with decent character guys and some growing talent. From a fantasy perspective it seems like they are one of those teams to watch for your keeper leagues. Williams, Benn, Freeman, and Blount could have nice futures.
