I have been logging mock drafts at a rate of 3-4 per day all with different strategies using Draft Dominator. I set it to draft at ADPs and gave each team a different ADP to pull from (magazine, expert, MFL, CBS Sportsline). I have also switched owners and their ADP that they draft from.

However, you never know how your league mates are going to draft especially when some are guppies.

SOOOO, I have a strategy that I think will work and gives me the strongest or 2nd strongest team every time I use that strategy in the mock

What does this really mean though. This is the first year I have done this. Has anyone had experience running mocks, coming out on top and then using that strategy to be successful in their draft/season.

i really like to use mocks in a slightly different way...i dont draft the guy i actually would take(i take someone within that same tier) so that I can see just how far the guy i like might drop.

To me some mock drafts are throw offs just to mix it up...I never depend on mock drafts results, rather just study here and make my own choice! Plus a lot of mocks have one or two computer picks... worst.

after my mock, i grind up tea leaves and throw them in a pot. i then pour in boiling water and interpret the motion of the leaves as to whether or not my team was any good. i readjust my projections accordingly.

really, mocks are just useful as a reality check against ADP. doing a mock won't tell you much more than that.

Go back and look at who was still available later in the draft then when you expected.Consider alternate positional picks in a round. For example, if you went RB-WR-RB-WR, what would have happened if you went WR in Round 3? Happy with who's there at RB in Round 4?What if you grabbed a QB in Round 3, did it hurt too bad? What if you waited until Round 9?See who's available when and who will fall to you.
