How do you break your playoff ties that occurr? (1 Viewer)

In a league that chooses it's Wild Card seeds using H2H, how are you breaking the ties once the playoffs begin? Are you disregarding the regular season and any H2H stats alltogether, do you look at regular season overall scoring or do you go to bench players/coin flip?

Feedback appreciated.

# of TD's scored in gameHighest Bench in gameCoin FlipMuch like collegiate OT, not really a fair way to adjudicate, but what else are you going to do? "Home" and "Away" teams?

* Total offensive yards by starters. (This would include any passing/rushing/receiving yards accumulated by the QB and the 5 RB/WR).

* Total TD's scored by team. (This would including passing TDs, rushing/receiving TDs and return TDs by the defense).

* Fewest turnovers by team. (This would include any interceptions thrown and any fumbles lost by the starting players).

* Fewest yards allowed by starting defense.

* Coin flip.

We actually designate a player to be our tie-breaker. I can't ever remember two teams scoring the same (increments of .05) and I'm unsure what we'd do if the tie-breaker players tied as well.

highest seed is the "home" team and the "home-field advantage" is that they win a tie game

not much at all but gives a little more meaning to regular season

Don't know if it has already been said but just give the higher seed a 1 point home field advantage that is only used in case of a flat foot tie.

Only a league with complete tards would allow bench points to decide anything. So some idiot who has Boller, Grossman, & Clemens on his bench detroys the smart team who handcuffs his players with their backups. That makes a lot of sense. Why not just have them play paper, scissors, rock?

My league is:

1- Total yards by starting QB/RB/WRs

2- Total TDs by starting players

PS- I've only seen 1 playoff tie in 16 years or FF.
