How do you use past Draft Data? (1 Viewer)

I have about 6 years of Draft Data for a 14 teamer, but I'm not sure what to do with it. I've never felt like I spend much time using it or putting it to work.

Along with draft board snap-shots, I also have it in Excel format where it shows when each position (RB1, RB2, ect..) was chosen, overall. In previous years I had been aligning it with current ADP to see around where a player would would fall in this league, with it's pattterns and tendencies.

Example:

I use old data to make an ADP_USER file for Draft Dominator. It pretty closely predicts what the other owners will do in the draft, allowing me to better see where the value will be in my future picks a round ahead (i.e. do I take a WR now or is there enough depth that a just-as-good-one will be there at my next pick?). I detailed the process in an Apps Forum thread.

- See if there are any teams who follow set patterns from year to year like a team who always drafts a QB early or someone who drafts 3 straight RBs to start each draft.

- Look to see if anyone is a fan of a certain and see if they tend to draft players from that team.

- If an auction league, see if people spend early on studs or wait for value.

Good to know. I'll read up and give it a go.

Nice, here is what I can tell by looking over the last 3 years...

Two owners always wait on QB

Two owners always go RB-RB

Top 5 QBs are always gone by the 2nd Rd

Top 12 QBs are always gone by the 5th Rd

Usually a run of 4-5 QBs in the 3rd

Owners start taking backups in the 8th

Always 21-22 RBs off the board by 3rd rd

Always 10-11 WRs off the board by 3rd Rd
