How does your league break ties (1 Viewer)

Until this year, my league let ties stand as ties, but we changed the rules and now must come up with a tiebreaking procedure for reg season games.

I need some ideas. How does your league determine who wins ties?? Please be specific.

the host site we use allows to specify a tiebreaker player (non-starter)

Also, going to decimal point scoring helps reduce the chances of a tie happening in the first place.

 We do the same on both points: tiebreaker player and decimal points.

What's wrong with ties?
Ties are a part of football.
We voted them out this year. We seem to have 2 or 3 ties every year, yet the NFL has only had one tie in the last 5 years.Decimal scoring is not an option this year. Maybe next year.

Keep the ideas coming

We use decimal and have had one tie in the past 5 years. Our tiebreaker is the total reserve points in that period.

Regular Season

1. Decimal

2. Choose Player Tie-Breaker

Playoffs

3. Choose 3 Player Tie-Breakers

4. If it's still a tie then division winner gets the win.

Championship

5. Choose 5 Player Tie-Breakers

6. If it's still a tie then best record wins

7. If its's still a tie then most points wins

8. Coin Flip

We use

1) # of TDs scored

2) fantasy points for TDs (he have bonus points for long TDs)

2 or 3 rules beyond those but we haven't had a tie go past those two in 5 years.
