:shrug:Hated it. 3-0 after the first? Snooze. Couldn't hold my attention.
Sorry to hear that, because it was a pretty exciting 3-0. Addai was running well, Brady was feeling the pressure, Gonzalez *just* missed hanging on for a touchdown and Vinatieri missed a long field-goal. After one quarter, the Colts felt great about moving the ball but bad about only having three points. The Patriots felt good about the close score but bad about sputtering at the start of the game. You could tell it was going to be a good one.A low score doesn't mean a boring game.

In terms of the Brady pass to Moss, I guess I can't argue the fact it wasn't where he needed it to be, he caught it. Just the way it was thrown, so high and up for grabs it just looked to me as a pass he was hoping Moss would just go up and get. I don't want to say a luck play because when you have Moss, odds are he'll be the one to get it, not the DB. But I just don't think it's your conventional deep pass throw, meaning unless you have Randy Moss to throw to, that play doesn't work. I don't really think Moss had anyone beat on that particular play he just is physicaly gifted athlete that can do things other people can't.Like that pass earlier in the game, where he was running across the middle, moss reaches up and out with one handed to bring in that ball. If that is thrown the same way to anyone else in the league, that ball is maybe tipped, maybe just overthrown and that could possibly be an interception with the safety just waiting behind the receiver for the overthrow. Instead, it's a big first down.
Almost all of Brady's passes to Moss this year have been thrown up for grabs. I'm not sure if Brady just can't grasp Moss' speed to hit him in stride, or he figures throwing it up gives Moss a better advantage over the DB, but if it were any other WR, those would be picks or incompletes.
Yep, exactly......so I'm in the process in my own mind in trying to give Brady the kudos because he reckonizes that it is Moss he's throwing to so he's throwing it like that to HIM because that's the most effective way to do it.I guess he deserves the benefit of the doubt with the season he's having to realize that which is why I truely think Moss is the difference maker on this team. Without Moss, they still probably beat every team in the NFL besides Indy. NE needed something extra special to leap over Indy and that something extra special is Randy Moss.

I think the great success he's having throwing to Welker also should remove all doubt. Welker is half the target Moss is (at least) and he's being used on a lot of short timing routes. More often than not Brady is getting the ball to Welker in stride where he can get YAC.To me at least, it's obvious Brady can tailor his throws to his receiver's strengths.
