Food / Water / Shelter / Fire / Make a weapon.  If you know how to master those 5 things you can live indefinitely in the Wilderness.

I'm a fat ol' man, therefore wolfbait, now. In my prime, would have likely poisoned myself foraging with only raw food to hunt. Knife and fire, i could have done a year+.

Folks always overestimate their ability to find sufficient calories in things like this. Given the lack of other necessities for boiling water and adequate shelter ie clothing for the inevitable rain? This is going to get ugly quick.

well the toilet paper would be easy kindling and thats never ending so bam right there you got a fire and you got a clean hiney so brohans i think i could hack it take that to the bank bromigos

I’m having a hard time seeing the majority of people in here are either lasting to winter or indefinitely in a place that has snow. Seems pretty unrealistic.

People into this topic should put the show “Alone” in their queue. Great show.

Those people have gear, some food, and are experts at this and they last anywhere from a couple days to a couple months.

For this thread, you get no gear, poor clothes and are in a even half way inhospitable climate it’s going to get pretty ugly pretty quick.
Going to 1st make a sort of fish trap out of sticks & twigs-can be done using a lot of green sticks which can be bent.  You can eat fish raw.  your main problem is going to be able to start a fire once winter sets in & I highly doubt I could make a fire using the friction method with sticks & a stone.  You then die of exposure when winter sets in & that is not a bad way to die compared to a bear mauling, torn apart by a pack of coyotes or wolves, or being stabbed to death by a deranged madman.  I've read it's kind of restful once you get past the shivering part.

I recently read about a starving dog who ate part of his leg to survive.  Just saying you have some options.

Lol at those that voted indefinitely. Once winter sets in, you have no food and are wearing shorts. Good luck.
