I'll preface this by stating I own Favre in a newly aqcuired dynasty team.
I don't think it is unreasonable to assume that he will come back for another season if the team makes some moves to be competitive. The NFC North is, outside of Chicago, wide open for a wild card berth. I don't think Green Bay can win the Super Bowl but can get to a Wild Card game with some good FA signings and some luck.
It is not out of the realm for them to sweep Detroit and Minnesota, split with Chicago and go .500 against the rest of the league. That might even win them the division. Yes a lot of things must fall in place but it is possible. Is it probable-maybe- but that possibility might be all it takes for Favre to come back for one last shot.
I think it irks him to go out with such a negative season as last and he wants a reason to come back to redeem himself in some fashion. I'm cautiously optimistic that he'll come back.
