The way the league protects the QB these days I would say probably 5 would be a safe bet.
39 years old/ 5years seems about right. Look at guys like Favre, Brunell, Garcia all playing over 40 Warner played until 39 so I think 5 years is reasonable.
If i had to bet on any QB to last until he was 40, it would be Peyton. He has a knack for not taking alot of hits, and has obviously never been hurt...to the point of missing a game, so not alot of wear and tear. While physical skills are important to every player, what makes Manning great is his mind, so he would still be a very good QB even if his physical skills diminish slightly.
Manning doesnt strike me as the Barry Sanders/Jim Brown type who would want to retire in his prime, so i cant see him retiring before he body forces him to. I believe this will especially be the case if he doesnt win another championship.
