Just skimmed the last page but up here teachers make boat load compared to what I've heard about their US counterparts. My cousin is 41 and makes 100 as the head of the drama department in a Toronto public high school. With a benefit and pension package to rival damn near anywhere. In case it's different in the States head of the department still teaches a full slate but also has some pain in the #### supervisor crap.

they may just be your cousin. some quick google searching revealed that salaries in toronto aren't particularly high.

Your google searches are broken. Teachers with any form of time in are well, well, well paid up here.

ETA: I am using Highschool teachers with decent time in. It's like cops up here, starting pay sucks but gets very good after you put in your time.
