Scapegoat who exactly?

You aren't a scapegoat if the walls collapse around you for your own policy/media incompetence while in office.

High profile brand name Democrats are consistently caught violating their own mask mandates. I've listed countless examples in this thread. They are caught violating them while rank and file working class Americans around them working the venues are forced to wear masks. (Good luck holding onto working class minority voters that way....) Then these Democrats can't get their stories straight.

Buttigieg is cornered and he has to admit that people have a choice and can no longer be fined, punished, cast out, persecuted and dragged through the MSM over masks. But he can't explain why the administration is still pushing for mask mandates, openly contradicting Biden's own words. And if that's so, why isn't Mayor Pete setting an example and wearing a mask.

Even Jeffrey Toobin can't defend it. Because it's idiotic. Then again Toobin wanted people to be punished for not wearing masks, but he had no problem not wearing pants and jerking off in front of other people on Zoom. Lovely. So very lovely.

Then it raises yet even uglier question. If Biden says "It's Up To Them" and then Psaki has to "Walk It Back' in the national daily media cycle, then who are the "handlers of Biden" that get to decide what needs to be walked back or not. The American people elected Biden, not some shadowy cabal of special interests pulling the levers behind a curtain.

So who is Mayor Eric Garcetti trying to scapegoat here?

There's was a mask mandate, and he just decided to violate it. In public. In a high visibility situation. Then he mocks all the people of LA by saying "I wore my mask the entire game. When people ask for a photograph, I hold my breath and I put it here and people can see that...There is a zero percent chance of infection from that....I’ll take personal responsibility.....and if it makes you and everyone else happy — or even the photographs with people where literally I’m holding my breath for two seconds — I won’t even do that.”....

So Garcetti demands people follow the science. What part of "The Science" says there is a zero percent chance of transmitting COVID19 if you hold your breath in proximity to another person?

Then he gets angry, by saying "If It Makes You Happy". You mean by following the rules and setting an example?

The problem Team Blue is going to have is Limousine Liberal Patti LuPone went beserk on someone not wearing a mask when she was doing a show. That just dredges this all back up before the Mid Terms.

Our leftist elites don't have to follow the rules. We can do whatever we want. And our elites can decided when the rules should be enforced. But if you rank and file everyday working class American citizens don't follow our arbitrary rules and standards, even when they don't appear to line up with science at all like holding your breath to stop COVID19, then we'll demonetize you, fine you, shut you down, lock you down, cancel you, jail you and punish you.  And if you happen to be a Conservative within that group, we'll call you a racist and a bigot first.

Garcetti's excuses suck. It makes him look like a smug tone deaf narcissistic pathological liar and hypocrite.

Your rationalizations to protect Team Blue at all costs don't change that.

Newsom just lies, rationalizes, gaslights and shows himself to be weak and gutless. Says he was wearing his mask the entire time during an NFL game other than his "photo op" with Magic Johnson. But all video surrounding the timeline shows differently. Think about how arrogant one has to be to think no one else was going to check all the video during the game.

Stacey Abrams found a scapegoat for her hypocrisy about wearing masks and demanding mask mandates when she doesn't wear them herself.

There's literally a picture of her surrounded by children. They have to wear masks. But she doesn't wear one. Then she says the entire bevy of criticism is a "false political attack"  She decided to scapegoat anyone who shared the photo online as it went viral.

What's false here? She chose not to wear a mask when wearing a mask was required. For... wait for it... the safety of innocent children.
