How to build a keeper team (1 Viewer)

Since there is a good thread discussing dynasty I'd thought I'd make one for keeper. For the sake of this discussion let's assume you can only keep three players and you can't keep a player who was drafted in rounds 1-3 of the previous year.

And can you keep the player forever? Does the player count as a draft pick in a specified round (i.e. If I draft Willie Parker in Round 9 last year, then he will be my 8th Rd pick this year, and my 7th pick the next year, etc.) ?

What about free agent pickups? Are the designated a keeper round?

There are many variables of what makes up a keeper league.

You can keep them a max of three times. FA's are round 12. If you draft Willie Parker in round 9 this year, next year as a keeper he will worth round 7, etc.

If thats the case, then you should draft basically as a redraft league, and go hard in free agency to find your keepers. There is always good FAs that come up every single year that turn out....
