How valuable is Kevin Faulk? (1 Viewer)

I'm holding him as a 4th RB in case of injury during playoffs to my top 3. I'm hoping, perhaps falsely, that BB will want to save Maroney for the playoffs and Faulk starts seeng more time during FF playoffs. There are some great matchups in there. The Pats should be able to get a lead and sit on it by running 50% rather than 10%.

It's a pipe dream but a dream nonetheless.

Anybody of the opinion the Pats will really start to get Maroney involved after the bye, so they can establish him as a 20-touch back for January?

Yes. I think Bellicheater is saving his RBs for colder weather. I don't feel a need to add Faulk now, but week 12 or 13 I'll grab him off of waviers.

He is very valuable to the NE offense. If he were to go down, it would be tough to replace what he brings to the table.

FF-wise: he has value in PPR leagues. He won't be asked to carry the load in any game, barring injury to Maroney, Evans, Eckel, etc. He'll get you a good 60-80 yards in total offense in any given week.

I like Faulk as an NFL player, but his fantasy value in standard scoring leagues is so so. His hit 80 yards from scrimmage twice in his last 32 games played.

twice as valuable as Maroney in a PPR league.
Faulk is RB 37 in our PPR league in total points; Maroney is RB 45.Faulk is averaging 6.4 PPG; Maroney is averaging 8.1.Faulk is certainly valuable as a flex player against the right opponent, but I think his value lies more in the fact that if Maroney gets dinged again, they will lean on his ability even more.

Faulk as a real football player is rock solid. Im sure his fantasy production yo-yos every week, but he'd seem like a nice 3rd or 4th RB. PPR, he could be complimentary. But it needs to be pointed out that as of the Indy game, something like 18 or 19 different Patriots players had scored TDs. Its such a balanced team, Faulk's just another spoke in the wheel. But the guy's got 3 rings and a ton of huge moments in big games. I can think of worse guys to have to lean on.
