how would you deal with this? (1 Viewer)

OK, here are the facts:

1. We wanted to start a fantasy league to include all of our classmates. There are about 60 of us. We knew that a very small number of them would want to participate.

2. We did not set a cap on how many teams could join, nor did we set a deadline to our friends as to what day they had to join by.

3. We set the draft date for this Sunday.

4. Since we thought that people would need a couple of days to think about draft strategy after the draft order was set, we decided to do the draft order tonight.

5. At the time we set the draft order, we had 10 players signed up. At that point, we decided that the league was locked in, and so we had a public drawing to determine draft order among the 10 teams. After the drawing was done, we sent out an e-mail to all 10 teams informing them of their draft position.

6. After we set the draft order, 2 more teams asked to be involved.

7. Since no one wanted to exclude these 2 new teams, they were admitted into the league.

So, assuming that it is a priority to accomodate the two late-coming teams, how would you guys decide where in the draft order the two new teams go? We are open to all suggestions.

Thanks in advance.

I would let owners select their draft spots, using the draft order you drew, with the two new teams picking 11th and 12th. I don't know of a more fair way. Redrawing is not fair to those who are at the top.

One alternative is to have each new owner get a random number generated from a program (like from irony.com) between 1 and 1000.

Give each previous owner their pick number x100 - 50 as their number (i.e. Pick 1 is 50, Pick 2 is 150, etc. to pick 10 of 950)

The two numbers they generate slot them into their picks.

I have no issue with Anthony's approach either.
