***Howard Stern*** (1 Viewer)

O&A have more listeners.
Link?Id almost gurantee they dont.
I would think by number of total subscribers, O&A would have more listerners.Plus, you can listen to them online, in the car, and through audible.com to catch the replays.

i cant see that either....it is speculation because XM has more SUBSCRIBERSits like you O&A drones saying that us stern fans can not chalk up the 3 million subscriber boost for sirius to howard....just like you can't say O&A has 6 million listeners

Sirius can't make enough product to satisfy subscribers, Sirius doesn't make a pure portable unit because they want to get it right, etc., etc.)
And yet they continue to out subscribe XM over the last 4 months.
link?
is that why every electronics store you go to is dead out of sirius on the shelves and XM is a dime a dozen??
Every one is gone?Is that b/c XM has many more models to choose from and Sirius only has a handful? Or is it b/c you can only fit 2 Sirius units on a shelf at a time?

Can we stop the pissing match here please?

Here's something we can all agree on -- David Lee Roth SUCKS!

Apparently, CBS agrees:

CBS Radio has removed the low-rated David Lee Roth from his post-Howard Stern morning slot at the company's stations in NYC, Philadelphia, Boston, and Pittsburgh. Just in time for the spring ratings sweep, which starts tomorrow. "JV And Elvis" now airs in NYC, at least. CBS recently flipped Philadelphia rocker WYSP, which carried Stern in morning drive, to "Free FM" all-talk with Roth in mornings. And it has plunged from 4th to 19th place in the ratings

I think it was great they brought Letterman in for the whole show today....he was throwing in some boring mateial that everyone shot down; but just to hear him be "uncensored" was great.

From this site. It's kind of a FBG for radio and TV happenings in the Balt./DC region, but they sometimes touch on national stuff as well.

I assume (hope) harry knew that was the fake Letterman - I didn't even hear the show and I know this

lol at O&A listeners feeling that the Howard Stern thread needs their input....S, start your own thread.

To the other Howard fans, stop replying to them.

I am on travel so missed the roast, no good?

Wow this is funny. Just yesterday Howard and Robin were talking about how KRock lost 1/3 of their listeners or something, but Howard said "Anyone who knows anything about radio knows they need 6 months to a year to produce" and commented how he thought Dave would be safe until then.

Just about ready to start on the west coast feed. RBM said it was subpar, we'll see.

If you had a portable radio, you could listen to it anywhere....Or record it for a later time.... ;)

the Daniel Carver roast will be great and I think it was great they brought Letterman in for the whole show today....he was throwing in some boring mateial that everyone shot down; but just to hear him be "uncensored" was great.
:o    :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: :lmao: :lmao:

Did Opie and Anthony used to be east coast and now they are XM?

I've never heard of O&A, never heard of anyone mention O&A, don't think anyone I know knows who O&A are EXCEPT through mentions on the Stern show.

They started out in Boston? then moved to New York. I think they have been on XM a little under a year and a half.

It was really bad. Sal was the only one who kind of scored.Howard and the gang were pretty bummed out after it, and are talking about doing away with the roasts.

So far it's meh. Sal was good but I thought Shulie was real funny. I think they need to spread these out more and have fewer people roasting, not get rid of it all together.

Agree. And they need to roast people who are everyday members of the show. Roasting wack-packers is a bad idea

The jokes the roaster's were making about each other were funnier than the Daniel Carver jokes. I thought it was odd that they were roasting Carver to begin with. Usually roasts are for people you like. It's hard to crack jokes and have fun with someone like Carver, who everyone hates. It's funnier just to hear Carver talk, and laugh at him for being so backwards.

I think the Carver roast sucked because they just don't know enough about him to make clever jokes. But with guys like Ronnie and Ralph, the comics have been around them long enough to know all the stupid little things they do.

Little help, please...

Who is the guy who does the dead-on Letterman impersonation? It's incredible.
Evil Dave, HTH.
Any place on the net that I can listen to some of his stuff?I heard a prank call they did last week, where he and "Paul" were talking to some lady who was selling a book. I almost crashed my car, I was laughing so hard. It was on the wrap-up show, IIRC.

Evil Dave As far as who he is I can't find anything on it, hence the sarcastic remark ;)

 That could be the best impression I've ever heard. Better than anything Rich Little or Frank Caliendo have done. And I don't think he's really trying to sound like Dave. I think that's his actual voice.

Can't seem to find a pic of E.D.

Is that the one where he has Heidi put stuff in bad places? If so, then yes one of the best bits ever.

:lmao: And he asks her to pretend to be Al Roker or somethin like that.

"Talk black to me (evil dave voice)"

Did anyone happen to catch the prank call today using Blue Iris' voice? Had to be the funniest call I've heard on the show. It was played on a break.

They talked to him one time as himself on the air and he's like not even a comedian or anything.

It's official, I LOVE the friday show. As a long time Stern fan out on the west coast I love hearing the old WNNNNBC bits. Especially the one where he goes into the GM's office.

 and for all the grief he gets for claiming he invented everything, that clip (and the scene in PP) truly showed how far out on the leading edge he has always been.

Nobody would put an intraoffice fight with your boss on the air. It was genius and a good example of the then unique style of giving the audience a view into everything.
