***Howard Stern*** (4 Viewers)

Listening to today's show now and just heard this in the last 5 minutes...Howard – “We should roast Hulk Hogan."Robin – “I was going to say Hulk Hogan.”Howard – "Jack Nicholson wasn’t nominated for Best Actor."Robin – "I was going to say he wasn’t nominated." ;)
:pickle: Noticed that as wellArent the two logical roast choices Howard and Robin? They are so scared to go on the hot seat, annoys me

I didn't follow Stern to Sirius. I DL'ed a show recently to check him out, and unfortunately it wasn't any funnier than his last couple years on free radio. I was bummed. Did I just catch him on a bad day? From the perspective of long-time Stern listeners, has his show still been going downhill? Also, I think most Stern listeners would like The Kidd Chris Show. He's been on Stern a few times (he did an awesome series of crank calls to OJ's cell phone), and his show has a definite old-school Stern vibe: Rotating gang of weirdos and freaks (Fast Fred the brain-damaged white rapper, Brad the Cripple, etc.), ethnic sidekick (Thomas, aka *** Nipolson, ***** Martindale, Duck Sauce, ***** 182, etc. etc.), very free-flowing, etc. WYSP in Philly from 3-7 PM, or kiddshow.com for a live stream. He also usually has the past day's show avail. for DL.
What you just described about Kid Chris is the exact format for Stern. What makes Sterns show downhill and KChris on the rise?
Love Stern and Kid Chris show is pretty funny as hell.Very similar format. ANd Chris makes no bones about how Stern is a role model.Even had Stern call in one night and Stern told him if things don't work out he has a job at Sirius.I usually listen to Chris on the way home.Work has now blocked Sirius

don't be an idiotThe reason they do not go Artie-Robin-Howard roasting is promotion. I can GUARANTEE that Howard being roasted will turn into a huge Sirius promotion...they will couple it with another 'listen free online' deal or something. Basically it will be used as a tool to leverage something

Artie was roasted - it was hysterical! They definitely want to stretch out the roasts which is ok by me - I can't get enough of them. BTW - for you diehards - there was a Howie roast at K Rock right after his divorce - you can find it on the torrents.

Wasn't Stern hosted just recently?

Quinn, Sal, Artie, Lisa Lamp, and a bunch of others ....

Any chance Sal gets fired over this horse-face thing? ;)

Beth is so overrated though. I am tired of Artie kissing Howard's ### over how "hot" she is.

So what did he do? Call Beth a horseface and then try to kiss her ### about it?

Why would Howard fire him over that? I heard him today and he was pissed, but not worth canning a dude over.

He called her a horse face in his roast. Then she called in afterwards and Sal came back in the studio and made a horse whinny sound. :lmao:

Agree. I always thought she looked a bit too trany-like for my tastes, body or not.
I always thought she was a horse-face too, but I saw her last year at a North Shore Animal League event and she was absolutely stunning. I couldn't believe how hot she looked.Weird to say, since she's a model, but I don't think she really photographs well. Or at least it takes some creative lighting since I've seen hot pictures of her.

This Joe Francis is an annoying #####. Howard shouldve hung up on him early on
horrible interview, the guy was barely conscious.Although I did like the Tara Reid discussion. :moneybag: Clearly hyping parisexposed...he definately has a stake in the site.

Artie called in last Thursday too right? That's basically an entire week now being sick. Something is definetly up. It's no flu.
just heard the replay of the start of the show with Artie's phone call. His one today sounds just like the one's he made during his "absence"

I keep meaning to mention this.

Anyone ever notice Fred's disturbing little laugh? The low-pitched "machine gun" style laugh? It's kind of unnerving. I wouldn't be surprised if he kidnaps people and eats them in his basement after killing them.

I hate it when Fred fake laughs at Howard, but I think it's great when Artie gets him to genuinely crack up.BTW.. she's not that hot.. but HTF does Yucko land this type of trim?

It's pretty simple: Stern isn't funny anymore.
Then I have to question whether you have a sense of humor.
I used to listen to his show every day, and I loved it. My sense of humor has stayed the same, I still enjoy crank calls, sex jokes, and generally absurd ####.If I haven't changed, then :lmao:

Stern has actually never been funny. He's just been real good at surrounding himself with funny people. I was a less-than-casual fan back in the old Jackie days because I didn't see what was so great about the show. Now that he has Artie, Richard & Sal (when they're not being gay), and to a lesser extend Benji.. there are some real laugh out loud moments.Howard is a great interviewer, but a pretty crappy comedian.

waste of airtime today. I barely listened to 10 minutes of it.

I didn't even like it when they originally did it.

Yeah, I pretty much stuck with Bubba today when I was on the road. I don't give a crap if that piece of human waste Ronnie got rubbed down by three ladies. In fact, it makes me pissed.

With two channels, I really wish they'd find a way to repeat some of the week's shows on Friday or something. I don't even listen to the old shows anymore. :bag:

Absolutely horrible. Whomever does the program directing over there must be high. I don't know ANYONE who listens to MT Theater on Fridays. Don't they have some way to ascertain that their ratings drop a million % on Fridays???

I couldn't disagree more. Howard's sense of humor is very dynamic. Artie, Richard and Sal are one-trick ponies. Artie has some hilarious stories but his one-liners are pretty mundane. Artie plays that Italian man's man. Howard doesn't care what you think of him and it makes him more unpredicatable. The way Howard interviews and sets up conflicts within the gang is hilarious.

I guess I am in the minority of those who like MTT, although this week's was an awful choice. What I don't like is how they just repeat the same one over and over again during the day. At least mix in a few MTT's or something else, not just the same 3 1/2 hour show the whole day. And pick better shows!!! I want to hear Artie's first day there, or anything that DOESN'T include OJ talk.

Listened to most of the show today, though I had to turn it off during the segment with the guy who broke his ####. Although, I am now totally convinced that Artie is a manic depressive, I thought today's show was one of the best in the while.

When Artie is on, he infuses the show with an energy. He gets Howard going and he is a great storyteller. Howard is really good at guiding his stories too.

When they are like they were today for the first 3 or 3 1/2 hours, I don't care at all about any guests or any bits.

Yep. I had errands to do today on the road, but I just couldn't drag myself out of my car when Artie was telling the story about banging the 5'2" stripper in Vegas. Good story. On another topic, have I mentioned today how much I CAN'T STAND Robin??? :bag:

If she's only doing the news.... she's fine. But she butts in WAY too much, and when the guys are talking sports, she should just keep her fat know-it-all mouth shut. Example: Artie is telling us how he placed a prop bet that Grossman would rush for less than -1 yard. Sure enough, he scrambled a few times and lost a lot of yards, and Artie wins his bet easily.

Robin: "Yeah, that's why they keep it out of his hands."

Except for the fact that, you know..... he's the ####### QUARTERBACK AND HE TOUCHES THE BALL ON EVERY ####### PLAY!" She just has to throw her 2 cents in, even when she has no clue what she's talking about.

She drives me absolutely crazy. Totally killing the show for me.

Thanks for letting me get that off my chest. Carry on.....

From RobinsWrong.com

Robin said that Tony Dungy's son (James) committed suicide by driving his car into the water. This seems impossible because James Dungy was found unresponsive in his apartment in Lutz, Florida on December 22, 2005 by his girlfriend. He was then taken to the University Community Hospital where he was pronounced dead. (2.5.07)

I should have kept track how many times Howard and Artie said "she was so hot" or "she was smoking hot" during the first 45 minutes of today's show. I think it is up to at least 63.

Artie really stresses it too. "SMOOOOOKIN HOT"

now i believe that is incorrect. how ironic. she was not talking about dungys son there, she was talking about the suicide of another famous person

The reference is probably to Julius Erving's son, who drove his car into a body of water several years ago. I don't think it was ever ruled a suicide.

Wasn't that how Dr. J's son died?

It is and robin mentioned that. robinswrong.com however reported it wrong, that is irony. Robin stated the correct facts of dungy's son
