***Howard Stern*** (3 Viewers)

dropping loads..........of dirt.Almost makes me think this one was fake. The timing was just perfect and i just cant believe that anyone is this dumb.
Sign me up.That definitely seemed fake, unless they broke it up on the page. There was one other thing in one of the other calls that sounded too perfect. But then again the guy pronounced fellatio (Filet she-ow) wrong and she did bukkake wrong, so are Richard and Sal really that clever? Or maybe their actors just had Evil Dave moments?

They are sending emails to some public radio show in the midwest. i would not be surprised if they are real but would not be surprised if they were fake either.

I think they definately put a longer pause between loads and dirt.

What does everyone think about Artie lately? He just seems to be way too aggressive and arrogant. I might prefer the drugged out Artie more. He needs to tone it down a bit.

Hearing him for free on XM this week. He's really lost a step. Maybe it's a bad week....but it seems like the same old schtick.....and not in a good way.

The hosts or Richard and Sal. I'd assume the email was written like..
There is a contractor in the area that's gonna be Dropping Loadsof dirt in the area.

Extremely arrogant. He's got a lot to be proud of, but he's coming across as a class A1 ####### lately."Works" on the best show in radio with/for his idolFighting and (for now) winning his battle against his weight and poor eating habitsFighting and (for now) winning his battle against his drug addictionHe can barely speak proper English and now he's a best selling authorAnd he sells out all his stand up gigs that are dropping loadsof money into his bank accountAnd he's doing it all despite all the naysayers, so yeah, he thinks he's the king #### right now.

Good point, could have been edited that way.I don't mind Artie talking a lot, but he needs to be funnier. Way too hacky and over the top with the gay and racist jokes the past few weeks. Old and unfunny jokes. I think it was Ron Howard who said that he saw Tracy Morgan driving a yellow ferrari. Artie: "Tracy Morgan stole a car?" Just stupid and not funny.I think Artie is maybe better when drugged out because he gets more introspective, dark and interesting. He needs to mix that in with the obnoxious, boorish behavior, which can also be funny sometimes.

Definitely agree with the arrogance which he's been doing for the last year or so. He's definitely talking and contributing more now than months ago - I generally like it as it means less Robin time. The fact of the matter is that he's just a lot less likeable than he was when they started on Sirius.

Dunno if anyone realizes this, but he has a multi-million dollar home on the Jersey shore. He usually never mentions it.Two topics that make me change the channel in lightning fast fashion:- American Idol talk- BETH

Artie is like the energizer bunny in that studio now.

I can't get enough JD stuff, he's absolutely fascinating to me.

Absolutely. "You can come live with me, J.D. Can you afford 40 grand a month?"I'm happy for anyone who makes a good living. I just don't like it getting thrown in my face. If there is anyone I'd like to see broke and homeless in the near future, it's Artie. Let's see how cocky he is if that happens. But then he could go work "on the docks" again.

How much is his place worth? I assume he's not paying it off over 30 years like us actual shmoes.

I don't know but I did a quick calculation on one of those "mortgage calculators" (it only went to 10 mil)A 10 Million dollar house has a $63,000 monthly mortgage. 30years.

Artie has a major mtg on his property, I looked it up before on the county clerk website. His shore house is about 10-15 minutes from my house and i was curious as to what his nut was and what he paid for the house. He bought at the top of the market too, the poor ******* and has an ARM. funny thing is that Artie didn't even show up for his own closing, he had his mommy do it with a power of Atty. If I am at my other computer later, I will look it up again (I don't have the bookmark on this one).

ok, so I looked it up...He bought the shore house in April 2008 for 2.45 million and is carrying a 30yr 1.5 million dollar mortgage at a current interest rate of 6.375 and it is a 10 yr ARM. Hmmmm..he is ripe for a refi, but at his LTV with depreciation and who could I find who can do a mtg that big???

I am not that interested to call the county clerk and find out what his property taxes are, but knowing the area, I would think it is in the neighborhood of 20K/year, a real bargain.

Pulled up a calculator, his P&I payment is only $9358/month. He is talking out of his butt with what he said his pmt was, unless he is talking about his total monthly nit on the house...utils, maintenance, HOI will be high, he is on the water with a multiboat dock.

I didn't realize that financial information was public knowledge.

It is amazing how little info you need to pull public records, that is the PUBLIC aspect of it. Now, NJ has this info available for online search, which is how I pulled it up so fast, otherwise, you are at county records, pulling files. But this info is available nationwide, to the best of my knowledge.Fun looking up your neighbors and friends sometimes.

Did anyone see Artie on SNL? I just watched a recorded episode from last week and Artie was on (probably as a guest of Norm) and he made an idiot of himself. Not that it was a funny skit, but a group of people were supposed to walk off stage with a somber look and Artie was all smiles and laughing and raised his arms as he left. Way to play along Artie!

They talked about this on the show. He wasn't even supposed to be on. At the last minute the talent girl there told him to go out on stage and he didn't want to but ended up going anyway.Yeah, he could have played along better but he had no plans to be in the skit.

I didn't hear it discussed on the show. It was obvious he was just added since the skit called for a huge crowd. I guess he might not have been told what to do so probably should get a pass.

Thanks for the link, I'll give it a shot. Never heard his show before.
It's pretty good. I think fans of late 80's-mid 90's Stern would really dig it. Not much format, just goofing off, an occasional interview, talking to a bunch of "Wack Pack"-style guests, etc.

I am having a sandwich and watching TV. Both things were Howard's idea.

Soon I'll be going to work. That is also Howard's idea. I want to make sure he gets full credit.

So, when was your first Howard Stern experience?

Mine was his movie.

Being up in Canada, we didn't listen to his radio show, and I'd never heard of him.

My cousin saw the movie and called me and was like, you GOT to see this movie.

I waited for it to come out on VHS and rented it, and it blew me away. It was a great movie, and I had to know more about this guy and his show.

Finally he came to Toronto on Q107 and my commutes were like heaven.

Of course, until the CRTC (aka the Canadian FCC), kept fining him, until Q107 dropped his show.

After a drought, a while later I found him on a Buffalo channel, but that was good radio but too much of the Bush/FCC crap.

They dropped him before his last shows, so I never heard the end.

And I was (stupidly) too cheap to get in on Sirius right away, and FINALLY signed up in Jan 08 when I got a Sirius radio as a Groomsman gift from my cousin who first told me about Stern's movie.

Stern in the am and Pat Kirwan in the pm make for great commuting.

I usually love Artie and Gilbert is my favorite guest of all time, but today was neither of their best days. You can even tell Howard was very annoyed during the news.

Artie attacking Amy Fisher in front of Lou was gold however.

Seriously. Gilbert was out of control....which gave Artie the impression he could go biserk. It was a total mess. BUT...Artie and Lou going at it was hilarious!

Mine was in the early 90s when he came to LA. I still remember the ad they put in the Sports section of the LA Times.

His Leno hate is extraordinarily irrational. I'm no fan of the guy, but he acts like he's a rapist or something. Get off it, Howard.

I saw parts of the movie on cable, but my real first experience was through the censored television show.and that had its moments..but I just got XM radio last month with the Sirius package... it's been some good stuff, but some of the rewind stuff they do on Howard 101 from the 90's is even better.Overall there is some good stuff to listen too.

Living in NYC, I have been listening to Howard since he was on WNnnnnnBC in the afternoons and then I saw a live show they did when he was fired, that might have been the funniest thing I have ever seen (pulling random objects out of a plasticworks vajayjay) and of course over to K-Rock. I started listening to him by accident-literally, since I totaled my car and the rental car only had an AM radio, so I found him. The show has changed so much over the years, now he wants to psychoanalyze all the guests instead of just ask them the questions that no one else would dare, but everyone wants to hear.

I thought the Artie/Lou stuff was unbearable. Artie has been really hateful/angry lately. He's being mean to be funny, but it's not. Today with Yucko, he was doing the same thing. He goes on the attack, personal attacks, as soon as anyone comes back at him. Maybe he's on edge from the withdrawls, but he's been a huge prack and ayhole lately.

 I mentioned it a week or two ago on the thread and I'm glad Artie's starting to hear it from people. It's almost at the point where I can't stand him anymore.

Maybe he should go back on the dope?I think I plugged it once before, but sometimes-Stern contributor Kidd Chris (Sulu Dance, OJ crank calls) has his internet radio show up and it's really good. 2 hours a day, minimal commercials, no censors. Free DL's and streaming at kiddshow.com.

It actually seems like Artie is better when sober...I question whether he is still clean right now. He made me want to turn the channel this morning during the Brooke Hogan interview. He kept interupting and being mean and unfunny at the same time.

yeah, at one point he made a bad joke involving her boyfriend and you could hear her shock. I thought he might let up after that but he didn't. Yucko really blasted him on the Wrapup Show.

Howard seems to be packing it in even more than usual. He's always in a horrible mood and can't wait to get out of dodge. When he was back on Monday morning and ranting about being back after his vacation, he had a weird Johnny Frado accent kicking. Crazy.

Howard's done this shtick forever. He always has a hard-on for someone. It's usually over some professional snub (which is never revealed). Stern gets personal and hateful. He did it with Regis in the 80's (I remember him making fun of his handicapped son) and Rosie O'Donnell in the late 90's/early 00's). Lo and behold, when it benefits Stern in some way, he has them on the show and starts talking nicely about them.

Yucko really blasted him on the Wrapup Show.
Missed that. What did he say?
He talked about how Artie keeps bringing up how much money he makes, how nasty and arrogant he's been to guests lately and how Artie still acts like he's the voice of "everyman" but he's not anymore. He mentioned how most of the comedians he used to work with realize how much he's changed from the days they'd all work together for $500 a gig. He felt he was unfairly attacked on the show today. He wasn't all angry and bitter about it though, just a matter-of-fact tone like it's nothing new. It almost seems like he feels like he lost a friend in Artie.

I like Artie on the show for the most part, but after reading his book, I definitely like him less. His book made him come off like a scumbag, which he might very well be.

I listened to it via torrents. As much as he likes to push himself as a blue-collar/Jersey/dockworker-done good comedian, he comes off like a ####### baby. A guy who's had chance after chance handed to him, and proceeds to blow through them, because he's mentally and emotionally weak.It also wasn't very well-written, or particularly funny. Some decent stories, but overall I wasn't blown away.

It was on the high end of the AM dial out of Buffalo since the early 90's. I caught him there in 91 or 92. The locals will know Club Chit Chat.It was great when he came to Q107. Too bad they were to afraid of the government to defend their decisions and protect their business.
